3-D Cobra puzzle
This is amazing, looks like it will be so much fun putting it together this winter when we have 8-9 months of rain. Highly recommend this puzzle

Lots of fun assembling. It looks like an old school AC Cobra and it runs!

Looks great, but doesn't move the way it should.
This looks awesome when finished. There are a few pieces that are impossible to assemble, but I built it for looks, not speed.

Awesome kit
This was a really fun build. The instructions are easy enough to follow as long as you pay attention to the symbols and are patient. Most the pieces fit well but I did use a dab of superglue when pieces seemed loose.I recommend a bottle of the superglue for the occasional loose pieces, an Emory board for sanding though there's a piece of sand paper included, a small plastic tool like in the picture though the wood tool comes with it, small white birthday candles though there is a small piece provided, and mineral oil.Make sure you wax the necessary parts as it helps the gears mesh. I also used a small amount the mineral oil on the gears when testing them throughout the build. The car doesn't go near as fast as the video but it does travel for at least 20 - 25 feet.I used colored markers to paint it after I finished it but recommend paint it while you build for more detail.Wouldn't recommend for young children but a talented teen would enjoy it.

Fun project
I built the Cabriolet and enjoyed the build, but wished I'd painted it. This time with this Cobra I did paint it using acrylic paint, metalic paint, and silver gilding for the chrome. I had an absolute blast figuring out how to color this car and am happy with how it turned out.But....although the gears work perfectly the car is to heavy for the spring to pull its weight. I'm disappointed in that, but overall it was so much fun to build and it will be sitting on the self anyway so it does need to run but wish it did, that would add to its coolness. I would give it 4.5 stars but still had a lot of fun thus I give it 5 stars.Update: it turned out the foil I used on the front wheels was a little binding, not allowing the wheels to turn freely. Cleaned some of it out and now she runs perfectly!

Usually good at these
I’ve built a lot of UGEARS wooden models. The spring driven are best. I have successfully completed all of them in working order except this last one, the cobra drift. Although I checked the gear movements often, the gears have locked up in forward and reverse upon completion. I’m not sure at what point I failed. I don’t feel like taking everything apart. Be careful at the point of installing the lock mechanism.

Glad I got it.
Was fun to do and is an eye-catcher to everyone that walks by it.

Amazing engineering and design
I'm weaning myself away from Legos, I admire them but price keeps rising.I decided to go for more of a challenge with wood puzzles. The first company I tried was regretfullya hugh mistake. Thin wood very prone to breaking, glue definitely a staple, poor cheap instructions, sloppy fit. I won't state what company it was but if you go with UGears you won't care. This Cobra was a challenge but in a satisfying way. There were a couple challenges to master, one being the spring to affix to the very tiny slot the the center post. All parts were laser perfect, part no.s we're next to the parts, not on them, wood was quite thick, grain was clear & uniform. Mating. of parts was perfect no forced alignment necessary. Now that this is completed, the UGears Grand Prix D-9 awaits. My tips: these are not to be meant as speed builds. Take your time and enjoy the journey. Follow the instructions meticulously, take frequent breaks and sand, polish and wax!
