Inaccurate and misleading advertising, STAY AWAY
EDIT 2: It costs like 35 dollars to ship this thing back but if you contact Amazon with the receipt they will refund you.EDIT: After further testing of this product, I've come to the conclusion that the advertisement is intentionally misleading and Miko 3 does not perform actions nearly similar to what is shown and promised. Miko does not respond well. Miko does not recognize you by your face or voice. Miko does not follow, or play hide and seek. The most movement you will get from Miko 3 is a very minimal back and forth dance. Voice commands often won't respond or are the answers are wrong in general. Tablet functionality is slow and doesn't work well.. Skip this low-grade tablet with wheels and get something else.ORIGINAL POST:We just received miko 3 in the mail a few days ago and I just got around to setting it up and I messed around with him for a few minutes. Let me first say that I do think this is a great gift and fit for my 8 year old daughter. I think she's going to have a blast with it when she receives it on Christmas and I do plan to write a updated review after she gives her response to Miko. That being said, the videos are a tad bit inaccurate and don't portray the product completely. Yes, it does have plenty of games and apps to keep a young mind entertained, but it's limitations are very obvious to anyone over the age of 12. Miko 3 DOES NOT respond seamlessly as advertised in the videos. If you want a honest comparison, it's more like a Google home with a face and body. The tablet functionality runs a bit slow and I'm not sure if the voice features are even up to par with your standard Google home. After the updates I ran a few tests and noticed a bit of a lag with the tablet functionality just by navigating the menu. No apps have been used, and it's concerning that the software is having difficulties just browsing the menus, let alone running applications. Once again though, no apps have been used and I will update this review as Miko 3 is utilized to its full potential.Voice responses are not too good. I was under the impression that miko would respond when asked a question, but most of the time he would not acknowledge. I asked a few basic questions, and he did quite well. He understood math equations and told me the weather. I decided to ask a bit more complex question, which planet was the coldest in the solar system, and though Miko did understand the wording (as prompted on the screen), he started telling me the weather of a random town in Oklahoma instead. So far I'm not completely sold on Miko 3. It seems as though the marketing was a bit misleading and Miko isn't completely up to par on the voice functionality. Miko is like a child's version of a Google home, if you replaced Google with Bing instead.I'll be sure to update more as Miko 3 is utilized. Miko did arrive in a timely manner and his movements work well. I do like the design, though i with the face had a tilt function. The only disappointments are the voice functions and tablet speed. It seemed to be advertised as a cute little friend my daughter could have funny banter with, but it seems like it will be able to only answer trivial questions at best with no seemlessness, making Miko 3 come off as more robotic than an actual playmate.

Ok machine but definitely not what they advertise with
Here is my honest feedback so far:I bought it for my daughter. It's an OK thing, not as great as they implied on the ads.Hide and seek is not there but supposedly would be added in the upcoming days (I spoke with someone at customer support). It doesn't respond well to "hello miko", the commercial implies you can call him from a distance but that's just not true. You have to be in front of him and even then he doesn't always respond. When he's on the charger (which is also very slow, as in charge 8 hours and it's 91%) he still out of the blue makes sounds and tries to listen to a question (even though not triggered with "hello miko")When you hold the off button he just falls asleep and then "wakes up" because of the previous part. The advertisement on their website literally says "Not just recognizing you and calling you by name, but responding to your mood and getting to know you a little better each day" yeah it does not do that, at all.The wifi keeps getting disconnected, and yes I'm aware of the server issue so hopefully that was just a temporary thing. I've tested my wifi and it ain't an issue from my end.I'm hoping these are all "update fixable" issues. My daughter loves it and that's all that matters in the end, however as a parent I'm kind of disappointed so far.

WARNING WARNING WARNING
The buildup of excitement for this product is amazing. What it delivers, is pure disappointment.First, the company should be fined for the incredible false advertising the videos portray. Miko3 does NOT play hide and seek, it does NOT follow you around, it does not move as fast as the portrayal in the marketing videos, and it most certainly DOES NOT interact seamlessly or initiate interactions with my 8 yo daughter. The latest video showing it hiding behind the curtain and then peaking out from each side of a laundry basket is 100% misleading. It is NOT autonomous in any way, shape or form. Amazon should actually step in and require this company to either change its marketing or be removed from the website.I will admit that we've only had Miko3 up and running for about 48 hours, but when you're interacting with an 8 year old, they don't care about all the set-up, bugs, learning curve. They want it to do what they saw on Disney and in the Youtube videos. IT DOES NOT.The connection process was so laborious that I almost packed it up and sent it back right after my daughter opened it on Christmas. It connected to WIFi with a 'strong signal' and then immediately said it wasn't connected to the internet. This went on for hours before we could even pair the app with my iPhone. The Mikoconnect feature didn't work for the first 24-hours. Miko3 has not recognized my daughter and called her by name let alone, detect 'emotion'.You absolutely need MikoMax for this to be worth anything. So for $300, you have a fancy looking 'Alexa' that will play games and answer questions, etc. But that doesn't require robot packaging. As I became more frustrated in trying to make this thing act like it was advertised for my daughter, I noticed some very fine print when you watch the company's videos. It basically says the video and 'content' have been modified and enhanced. NO KIDDING! It's one thing to photoshop someone's skin tone or erase blemishes. Its quite another to make something appear it can do things that are impossible in reality. My daughter really wants this thing with Miko3 to work and be fun. Dad, has the shipping box ready and standing by unless this company can push some updates or ways to make Miko3 operate like they claim in their advertising.BEWARE. I have a feeling Amazon will be refunding A LOT of Miko3 purchases over the next 30-days.
