Positive retention neck scabbard, very sharp handy knife
This is the second one of these I have ordered through Amazon. The first was two years ago. I wanted to get another, but they were, for some reason, unavailable. Then I recently saw them offered on Amazon once again, and I hit the "buy" button without consideration. That's how good this product is.I am a Registered Nurse (RN), and I wear it under my scrubs, under my t-shirt, against my skin. No one can see it casually, so I don't upset anyone by having a "weapon" on my person. Why do I keep it about my person? Every so often you NEED a sharp blade to open a med packet, a pill bubble-pack, a bandage box, etc., and I don't intend to waste 90 precious seconds leaving the bedside and running to the nurse's station to get some scissors (which, BTW, are not ideal for the job at hand). Those few of my sister nurses who have ever seen the knife don't mind it or don't care.It is just big enough to cut anything you need, and small enough to be completely unobtrusive and forgettable hanging around your neck during a 12-hour shift. To restate: it hangs around my neck for 12 hours and I am barely aware of it. Yet it is there when I need it. PERFECTION.When I need it, I pull up on the bead-chain, removing it from my scrub tunic, and pull it out of the positive-retention Kydex scabbard. The knife has NEVER ONCE fallen out of the scabbard on its own. This is important, because I don't need to be STABBING MYSELF IN THE ABDOMEN unexpectedly when bending down. Nor do I need it to fall loudly to the floor in the middle of rounds, while a bunch of physicians and administrators give me the hairy eyeball wondering why a weapon just dropped out of my chest.I am a former soldier (14-years US Army officer) and I understand the carrying (concealed and otherwise) of weapons. Yes, I use this one as a tool, but it is undoubtedly a very sharp, semi-serrated blade that could do serious, life-threatening damage were I to use it against a human being. It is both weapon and tool, and all depends on how you use it.In short, this blade is everything I need it to be.For the record, I ordered two other "positive retention neck knives" before I settled on this one to wear/carry daily. As stated, it is very convenient, comfortable, user-friendly, and sharp/pointy in all the right places. It is exactly the tool I need day-to-day.If a good neck-knife is what you are looking for, you can do worse - ESPECIALLY for the money. I cannot recommend this little gem highly enough. And THANK YOU, WEYLAND, for making this available again. I really **DID** need a backup!FWM

Used it more than my belt knife
This was a hiking redundancy knife. Of course I didn't have my belt knife on while packing but I still used this one more while I was setting up my tent and tarp. Nice and sharp, held inside of the sheath good and tight. I did however replace the cheap chain with some paracord. I liked it enough to also buy another one for my son's backpacking kit.

Good products, from a knife collector
I like the weyland products , I have 2 , the weyland tracker , that knife is a very good value for a tracker style knife very well made worth the money, and I have the neck knife ,It is well made , sharp ,and the advertising is not misleading, but the neck knife is a lot smaller than I imagined, even though your dimensions are well stated

Loose.
The media could not be loaded. Blade is really nice. Size is good and comfortable to use. But mine doesn’t stay in. I’ve seen other reviews of others saying it’s too tight but mine came the opposite. Other than that it looks good. But really disappointed since I won’t be able to carry it around as intended. Really thinking about returning it.

Small Secure Compact Neck Knife
The WEYLAND EDC Fixed Blade Tactical Neck Knife is a small, budget-friendly neck knife Here's a breakdown of its pros and cons to help you decide if it's the right knife for you:Pros:Affordable: This knife is priced very competitively, making it a good option for budget-conscious buyers.Compact and Convenient: The small size and neck sheath make it easy to carry around without feeling bulky. I rarely notice it under my shirtVersatile blade: The combination of a plain edge and serrated edge offers some versatility for different cutting tasks.Comfortable handle: The handle is very nice with cutouts for grip.Sheath fit: The knife clicks into the hard sheath well allowing it to stay secure when moving around.Cons:Steel type: The 3Cr13 stainless steel is a lower-quality steel that may not hold an edge for as long as some higher-end steels.Overall:I like the knife it works out for what I sue it for. The WEYLAND EDC Fixed Blade Tactical Neck Knife is a decent option for those looking for a very affordable, small fixed blade knife that has easy access for light-duty tasks.

Not bad for an inexpensive knife!
You get what you pay for...... The knife, its a good design,, handle is comfortable and offers a secure grip which you need for any knife you intend to use. The design of the blade is good and the finish is not bad at all, and the knife comes sharp out of the box. The blade is, of course, cheap Chinese steel which will need sharpening often. The sheath is very snug offering good security for knife retention....but the sheath requires a strong pull to release the knife as well as a extra force to re-sheath the knife..... I am expecting to break the chain every time i remove the knife. Because the sheath is so tight, I don't wear it. Weyland would benefit making a neck knife with better steel and perhaps a bit thicker handle to fill your hand.
