A collection of some of the rarest matches from the unparalleled career of one of the most popular and recognizable WWE Superstars of all time, Hulk Hogan; highlights span his unprecedented 30-year career. Review: Finally a DVD Set That Isn't a "Best Of Pay Per View" Matches! - I have all of the Hogan VHS tapes that were put out by Coliseum Video through the 80s and 90s as well as the more recent series of DVD collections and this set was a breath of fresh air! I have traded and collected house shows for years as a teen and seeing many of these matches again in such clarity was like taking a trip back in time. I liked the mix of early house shows and TV matches. Even though they're usually really bad, you have to show a few of the Saturday morning "squash" matches to really relive the early days of these legends and this collection delivers! Prior DVD sets gave us a few tidbits to tease us, but then filled the rest of the collection with televised and Pay Per View matches that have been released countless times before. If I see the "Hogan vs. Sheik" match from January 23, 1984 on another DVD set I'll drive to Stamford and punch Vince McMahon in the throat myself! Needless to say, you can't please everyone all the time, but the inclusion of the MSG bout vs. Andre with Monsoon as guest referee was fantastic, the handicap match against Bockwinkel and Heenan was great to see after all these years and the string of bouts from the 80s with One Man Gang, Kamala, Randy Savage from Detroit, teaming with JYD vs. Studd and Bundy, Rick Rude and the hilarious promo with Mr. T in the grocery store...all excellent stuff!! I'm not a fan of Mr. T, but that was the era that Rock 'n Wrestling took over the world and it's great to see some of those ridiculous vignettes where they can barely contain their laughter and which haven't been seen since 1985. I could have done without so many of the early WCW matches. In my opinion, those were the worst, but at least we didn't have Hogan vs. Flair at Bash at the Beach again!! The later matches weren't too bad and the extra interviews and promos were a great touch as well. All in all, this was a great collection of matches from the guy who brought wrestling into the mainstream and for $20, it's was a steal! Review: The price - This is a good dvd set on remembering Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan!
Having completed the progression of Hulk Hogan fandom (LOVE him, HATE him, and finally respect and enjoy him)I find this set to be great. It includes some more of his WCW work, a great match with Vader and so on. It also includes some lesser seen WWF stuff. This set is fantastic really, Hogan is a great showman, and possibly more charismatic than any other performer ever. I have a great respect for what he accomplished in the business, and I really have a great love for his work. There is something of a mix of nostalgia, solid work, and larger than life characters that really accomplishes what wrestling should accomplish. I suggest this set to anyone in the first or last stage of Hogan fandom. For anyone in the middle, skip it.

A decent release...
I'm not a huge Hogan fan by any means but being a casual wrestling fan nowadays as opposed to the obsessed kid I was years ago I can't deny the impact he had on the sport or my childhood. The reason for me purchasing this was I was impressed by the match selection and the content. It doesn't disappoint and was actually a good watch throughout. Of course there's some pretty familiar matches we've all seen, but they're mixed in with some more not so overplayed or hyped ones too. I'm usually pretty picky about what I actually hold onto and add to the collection but this one definitely is worth keeping. A lot better than I even expected.

Hulkamania Lives!!!
For those that love Rassling for what it once was and not the pure drivel they pass off now, this is perfect. This chronicles the Hulkster's rise during the early 80's to the pre-iminent wrestling star of all time. Most of the matches are pretty good. As with all of these compilations, some of the good ones are left out. However, there are more than enough here to please.

I'm a Hulkamaniac
I've followed Hulk Hogan since the earliest days. I saw Hulk in some live matches when he was with the AWA in Minneapolis & St Paul. I saw Hulk in some of the early Wrestlemania events. This is a fantastic 3-DVD set, with a great binder holding each individual disc. This is a great collection with good audio & video quality. If you're a Hulk fan, you can beat this set for about $6!

Not as good as my other Macho Man DVD set or my ...
This is an Okay Hulka-Mania DVD set. Wouldn't say its worth more than 15 $$ bucks. Not as good as my other Macho Man DVD set or my Ultimate Warrior: The Ultimate Collection 2 Disc Blu-Ray. No new Hogan interviews !!! Only old clips pieced together to make a DVD set. Only good thing here is that most of matches are very Rare or from a pay-per-view event. Good backstory's on matches and there are some good matches here. For example: Bob Backlund as WWF Champ. vs. Hulk in 1980, also in 1980 vs. Andre the Giant. Other matches include Macho Man, Big Boss Man, Ted DiBiase, Sgt. Slaughter, more Macho Man, Ric Flair, Vader, Sting, Bret Hart, Triple H, and finishes with Kurt Angle. Overall good watch for any Hulkster fan.

Some typos in the liner notes around the fall of 1988 suggesting HH was the WWF champion which of course he was not at the time.
