Fresh, the top a bit crispy, lots of ground nuts, the best gingerbread flavor. These remind me of my visit to Germany one Christmas a few years ago.

Delicious if you like crumbs.
Would it be possible to send these wonderful treats in a sturdy box instead of stuffing them into a plastic mailer? They arrived looking like someone had sat on them then run over them with a truck. We wound up having a crumb eating party (they tasted just fine).

I received the cookies and they were dried out and crumbles in the package.

Taste fab but arrived dry as shoe leather
Tasted like having been stored in a dry warehouse for a year. Flavors were probably right, but the icing was brittle and falling off and the usually juicer inside was dry like powder. Also, the chocolate ones were so hard I feared breaking a tooth. Sadly not what I hoped for.
