This got me drinking coffee again (at least on weekends)
While I would like to write a real "foodie" review, beautifully articulating the nuanced flavors and how balanced it is, with perfect acidity and... you know the rest, I can't. What I can say is that I was a coffee drinker for about 20 years, make that a coffee addict, Then I burned out on it about three years ago and switched to tea. I'm not looking to return to coffee but I have the taste for it every now and then, and other than a good espresso, I'm usually disappointed. I got this for my wife, who is still a coffee drinker, and I can say that this is the first coffee I have enjoyed in a long time. Since taste is so subjective, that might not help people reading this, but as a benchmark, I find Starbucks too bitter, Duncan and Wawa too weak, and I used to be a big La Colombe fan. Now I'm a Kicking Horse fan too. We might try other roasts but this one was excellent.

Tasty Roast, good pick-me-up
This is my favorite blend from KH. I drink Kick Ass, Three Sisters, and Z-Wrangler. All taste great but have noticeable difference in flavor and body. I use it to make my bulletproof coffee. All blends are very smooth, not bitter, and are infinitely more delicious than Starbucks or Dunkin'. I am not a coffee snob but even I can tell the difference betweent these high quality roasts and the "big names." After my father-in-law tried the Kick Ass, he converted after more than a decade of being a Starbucks lover. Anybody that says these coffees get them "wired" are probably exagerrating. I only drink one cup/day and don't drink any other caffeine products. This definitely wakes you up but I don't feel like I just took a preworkout supplement.

Just a very good cup of coffee.
really good coffee. very good flavor and lingering taste. we make this for large gatherings and most everyone seems to enjoy it. Not too strong and not too light either.

Do try it!
The flavor is simply fantastic. I used to prefer light roasts but found myself making 3 or 4 cups a day. I don't typically like roasty coffee such as nearly all the coffee blends at starbucks but due to the reviews here on Amazon I really wanted to try this particular brand. I wish they sold a combo pack though, I wanted to just try a sample size of each flavor available before buying a whole pound but I don't regret it. I've cut down to one or two cups a day and don't have brain fog within the first few hours of waking like before. I've also made my own blend with various dashes of Tim Horton's and couldn't be happier. This has become a life brand for me, I can't wait to try the other flavors one cup at a time.

Kicking Horse Coffee is the best
This is excellent coffee sold by a Canadian roaster, fair trade and organic, and just the right blend for any brewing device you have. I can't find this medium roast (which is nice and strong) anywhere around here. Glad I found it on Amazon. I tried each variety of Kicking Horse and this is my favorite, no matter which brewing device I use.

Great coffee. I have ordered four different types of Kicking Horse coffee and have never been disappointed. This coffee is a pretty strong medium roast. I brew one scoop with a full cylinder of water in my Aeropress and feel that is strong enough for my taste.

Tasty and smooth
Might be my favorite blend. They are all really good coffee, but this is in the top 3 for sure. If you like flavor and smoothness this is the one for you.

Z-Wrangler, NOT WORTH THE PRICE
There's nothing special or wonderful about Z-Wrangler. It's not much different than Kicking Horse Coffee, Three Sisters and I not enough "difference" to substantiate the price. Disappointed. Do not recommend based on cost and overall taste.

The first coffee I've loved
Ok, so for years I've been drinking coffee; this brown hot liquid I pour in my cup in the morning; this juice that makes me more awake and alert. Don't get me wrong, I was aware of good and bad coffee; knew what roasts I liked and all. The thing is, I was never in love... I didnt know I could like a coffee as much as this, the Z-Wrangler blend is the first coffee I've drank because it's simply delicious. For me this is the pinnacle; coffee simply doesnt get better than this.It is unfortunate it doesnt come in the bigger bags like other blends from Kicking horse.

Very good for espressos but not excellent
I'm trying some Kicking Horse Coffee beans (whole), as you probably are, as it is plastered and distributed everywhere in Canada...and I really enjoyed this as a short or a tall espresso, and I agree with all the hints of flavor listed, but it lacks a bit of depth and a bit of power, so I'd recommend Grizzly Claw instead for all espressos.

As for coffee honestly I've had better coffee though
Was delivered fast and is 4 months fresher than I can buy at my local grocery store. As for coffee honestly I've had better coffee though. I read a review the Z-Wrangler that is a sweet coffee with a Chocolat background maybe my taste buds are gone but I don't taste the chocolate it is a bit sweeter no burnt taste but could be bolder I don't know maybe I have to play with my grinder to get grind better maybe a bit finer to get the boldness out of this coffee seems to taste better in a French press. My favorite coffee is still the Muskoka Loon Call.

Best bang for the buck!
This is perfect inbetween! Not a cheap coffee that tastes toasted or unfresh yet not the premium 20$ /lbs coffee quality. Comes at 10$ very often and at this price its by far the best bamg for the buck. I also tried a lot of flavors since the price is not to high
