I picked up this MEAKEST soldering kit back in February and it’s quickly become one of my favorite tools in the shop. This is a 90 watt, temperature controlled soldering iron for a good price. The cord is a little short, but it heats up fast and works well.

Works as it's supposed to, and for the price, it's pretty good. Has multiple tips and is easy to use. Quality could be a bit better.

Everything in the kit appears to be of good quality. I can't speak to the performance, because I haven't used it yet.

Has all you need, except maybe some clamps to hold cables in place. Solder and rosin work as intended.

iT IS lucky, I WANTED A THROW AWAY. unit. I would recommend keeps for a long time

I upgraded to this iron from one that was at least 25 years old with a tip that had seen better days. I had never owned an iron with an on-off switch or a thermostat. The thermostat allows me to dial the heat down when working on small, heat-sensitive components. The on-off switch isn't important to ma as I always unplug my iron when I'm not using it. An added bonus to this package is the inclusion of various tips, and they are easy to change.

The tips oxidize extremely easily and you will probably need to get a new set of them. The rosin and solder seem to be fine, and the stand does its job. it would be nice to have a bigger sponge but that’s not too big of an issue. the main thing is that the tips are useless and only last a few seconds.my on/off switch seems to be sticky towards on, so it doesn’t always turn off because the switch doesn’t get all the way off.temperature control seems to be pretty bad. the solder says it needs 350C but when the iron was set to 270 it still melted fine. not sure if that’s a solder or heat control thing, i don’t have a probe.I would not recommend for anyone. Seems cheap and low quality.
