Just what I needed
I have a 2012 laptop and got the dreaded White fold questionable screen. I knew hard drive worked testing on another computer. I could not find the answer. Some were saying it was bad hard drive or motherboard. I researched youtube and saw this guy said he got this cable off amazon to fix his drive issue. When you normally get a white screen on Macs it's having communication issue from hard drive or hard drive could be bad. Got this, followed the install and it was easy peasy. Worked first time as it booted. Saved me tons of oney. Thanks for making this sata cable still!!

Works and feels like an oem part.
Works fine out of the box. Easy to install if you’re familiar with the delicate nature of apple internal hardware. This one can be confusing as you have to crease the cable in several places during install, but the creases are marked. Just follow the pattern on the cable you are replacing.

Worked well, but doesn’t come with IR sensor wire and bracket
Worked well, but doesn’t come with IR sensor wire and bracket .. however the laptop works well without the IR sensor wire.. there is a way to pull the IR sensor wire from your original cable and attach to the replacement cable, but it is very delicate job, and maybe left to a professional Overall, for $10, I am happy that I don’t have to buy a new laptop!!

Cheap fix, works great
Went to boot up the 'ol A1278 MacBook Mid-2012 and got the blinking folder with question mark. Found out these HDD cables are touchy and well known to go bad unexpectedly. Replacing it did the trick. Note the model number on your existing cable (it's on the backside of the ribbon cable) because there are two versions, don't get the wrong one.

Great product to cure your MacBook
This is the second cable I've replaced on my MacBook (mid 2012). It's a known issue with this line, but an easy fix to keep the laptop in use.

Hard drive cable for my 2011 MacBook Pro
Fits like a glove and no issue at first. Worked beautifully for 3 days then the computer froze and will not respond no matter what I do. I was told because of the drive cable and that I need to replace with a better quality.

Good cable. Isolated cable with electrical tape so this doesn't happen again. Laptop works great now. Shop told user it was a bad hard drive. Not so.

Very happy with my purchase and delivery was super fast! This fixed my MacBook pro (A1278) problem with super slow performance and constantly freezing and showing the beachball when doing accesses to the harddrive. I read online that the SATA cable was the culprit for many people, so I took a chance and as I said it fixed my problem.
