Immortal
This was very good! Masterpiece! I could say maybe the best book what I ever read. I felt her soul, spirit. She was a woman what I really admire, strong young lady. So intelligent, vice, witty, lots of wisdom and of course a girl - could be my daughter! I found lots of wisdom what will impact on my life, and why all suddenly stops? I felt her hope arising till the end. ... And I found something what will change completely my perspective on human beings. I am very tolerant person, but living on someone else's life who is hated by what she is, being just a Jew, it's very eye opening experience. Everyone's must read and must learn how to love, not to hate. I felt her asking me constantly reading her "letters to me", I was like that Kitty. You should hear her story, read her letters. Being her Kitty. .. I would share little bit my wisdom too, you can think we human are built same chemicals, molecules, incredients. There's no reason to hate something what is exactly same matter than you. For example, skin colour is basically on nature science perspective, how well your skin protect against sun, genetically adaption is the reason why somewhere on earth people colour varying. Maybe saying put it right, where is a bookcase there's a soul. It was Plato, "A house that has a library in it has a soul,". There's a good quote for native American, "Never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins". Why they not teach how to love? Great way to start with her diary to understand how to love, not to hate. I am not spiritual, or something like that, maybe agnostic is the word to describe my understanding spiritual things, it's quite life changing to experience her kind a spirit when you read that, and feeling how someone wanting you to read, read. I think my self that there's no reason to hate her for what she was, she was a world class writer, a beautiful human being. Now I understand concept of immortality, her text live for ever. Thank You Anne Frank!

Great Read
Of course I was supposed to read this in grade school but I never did and truly I don’t think I was ready. Anne was such a smart mature young lady with great humor even in tough times. Def worth the read.

DONT BUY THE KINDLE VERSION
I'm so confused. I had to read this for a club I'm in at school, and now I have to buy the definition version because this version has been hacked or something. I can hardly explain it. The whole book does not mention the war at all? So I read the whole book for NOTHING. There is also a lot of sex and stuff, thank God I'm not a young child who got this book. The book doesn't mention Anne frank at all? At first I just brushed it off until I got to the last few pages. This is book is about a complete different person. Also it has a bunch of antisemitism in it but it comes from the main characters which confused me throughout the book. I'm so disappointed that this was even on teachers pick if the whole book is trash. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. :/

Closest to the one I read back 48 years ago. More authentic!
This particular version of the diary is more authentic than the typical definitive edition commonly found on book shelves today. This is very close to “The Diary Of A Young Girl” that I read when I was 12. I am 60 years old now and am very happy this version is available for I do not care for the seemingly emptier more modern version. The version that was edited by Anne herself but then by Otto her father. In this particular version more information is given. Still, a lot of stuff is missing. I clearly recall parts from the version I read around 1969 have been removed. However this is a close cigar. To read the whole absolute diary one would go to the Critical Edition but it’s like a complete college course regarding the diary, it’s authenticity, translations, etc. I have that edition but am not interested in all the investigational information to determine if the diary is legit. The researchers did conclude that yes, it indeed it is. I cannot find the version I read in 1969 but to try and pull it out from the Critical Edition is difficult as it takes away her feel, her energy, some of her personality. Like I said, it’s more like a college course. My desire is to just simply read the diary. To get to know Anne all over again. So I definitely advise readers to go to this unabridged version. I am thrillled to have found it. If you want to enjoy Anne and get to enjoy her personality this is the best choice available today. Happy reading! I give it 5 stars.

Inspiring!
It's hard to believe such things happened to so many people during the war. The way Anne deals with the adversities that come to her life is really inspiring. Through all the pain and suffering from a life confined in a small place with her family and some not so close people, she really tried to be a better version of herself day after day. I caught myself imagining what I would do if I were in her shoes and I guess I would have never dealt with the situation the way she did - probably I would be too depressed to study, write or even avoid discussions. Anne was such young girl, who had to face such hard times, and in the end... well, we all know what happens to her and her family, and this makes it even more difficult to keep on reading sometimes.I'm glad her life wasn't in vain and that she has inspired so many people ever since her diary was published.

Never to be forgotten
I so grateful to have read this story. Anne’s diary is moving and funny while demonstrating the incredible talent of such a young girl in terrifying circumstances. I dreaded the end knowing that is the moment she would just stop writing and would be lost.
