Does it fit snug to the teeth so that it doesn't come out when you open your mouth?

The first one I got to fit well, the second one was terrible. It's more an art than a science. Redoing the same one is not satisfactory.

I clench. I am very happy with this mouth guard. I read the directions twice on how to mold it and also watched a you tube video. It is thinner than most and doesn’t fall out of my mouth. I’m glad I purchased this.

Is this trimmable? I have a smaller mouth and haven’t been able to find one small enough for me.

Yes--I use a very sharp knife and then heat a knife on a burner to smooth it perfectly. My mouth is very very small, so it is too long and too wide at the back and I can get it to fit.

How long does this last?

I can't answer because after many, many months, mine is the same as the day I molded it. I referred it to friends and they are still using the first one they purchased also. So, my answer would be, if you take care not to lose it, a long, long time.
