Q: how to bend the strips around the corners? such as at the back of a panel?

Yes, you can. The music sync is 1 of 4 modes you can select. You will need the Govee Home app on your smartphone or tablet to access all 4. The built in controller has limited functionality, but even without the app you can select a lights only mode.
