Bear River Boa BB Pistol - CO2 Semi Auto BB Gun - .177 Cal 4.5mm Ammo

I really enjoy shooting this gun. Nice hand feel. The site is pretty accurate. A little power house gun. Puts some nice holes in soda cans. I built a shooting range for the family. Everyone wants to use this gun as opposed to their own. For the money, you can buy more expensive models that are no better in any area that I have seen. The 20 round magazine is easy to use and you go through it in seconds and wonder how that happened. It's a true semi automatic and fires through very quickly. Took apart a plastic chair in no time flat. Shot it to pieces. Blow up water balloons and it's fun to pop them. Goes through plastic juice bottles where the lower end pump style can't. I am buying more of these in the very near future. They are a great value for $30.00 a pop.

First off, I use this pistol to practice in my back yard. I shoot competitive .22 rim fire challenge, but can't always go to the range to practice. So when I can't I shoot a 1/2 scale course in my back yard. I have literally bought and tried several CO2 pistols ranging from $29 (the Boa) to $150 (Sig) . This is by far the best one for my application. For a BB pistol it has good accuracy, It is easy to load both the BBs and cartridge. It cycles as good as any, the trigger has a lot of creep but hits the wall, then breaks crisp. What Bear River has done is private labels the Crossman C-11 ( which has a bad plastic magazine and a terrible trigger), gets their magazine (Metal) probably from Umarex, and puts together a great gun at a great price point.

I love this little gun. I also own a KWC airsoft 1911 and although the KWC is a superior gun it is also cost 5 times more and only gets about 50 or so shots per CO2 cartridge. This is where this gun really shines. I've been getting about 150 shots per cartridge and remains pretty strong right up to the end. The accuracy is good and it has a good weight. It has a 20 bb metal mag that latches which is pretty cool for a $29 pistol. I believe it's a real bargain and would not hesitate to buy another. If you just getting into CO2 pistols or want a good little gun for plinking this is definitely one to try.

I bought a fancy bird feeder for my garden, and enjoyed seeing the beautiful song birds come to it every day... until the pigeons moved in. They were greedy, messy, and scared all of my little friends away. Until I picked up this little baby. The next time they came to raid the feeder, BLAM!! BLAM!! BLAM!! I don't have a pigeon problem anymore:-) UPDATE: While the gun still shoots fine, after a month the clip began falling out of the gun without reason. Also, loading this thing ONE BB AT A TIME into the clip has become such a pain in the rear, that I'm going to have to buy a whole new gun. Not only that, buy they easier fall out of the clip, forcing you to run all over the place trying to retrieve them. It's a stupid design, in fact, a deal breaker.

First magazine fill mis-fired after 4 shots (fired but no bb out). Released mag and a loose bb fell out of handle. 2nd mag. OK. 3rd & 4th also had mis-fires like the first. Awaiting cure from Bear River. Will update with result.

Almost took forever to actually receive this product. But after it finally came in, it ended up a very nice little gun. It is a very accurate item for what it is, a BB pistol. But you can groups your shots very well. I do like the magazine and the way it loads, which seems to keep it from expelling BB's all over the place as others do from time to time. Would recommend the gun if you can find it.

I'm giving this 4 stars because it has one flaw that caused Bear River to have to send me another one. I hate it when I buy something NEW and it doesn't work properly! The clip thumb release pushes in from the left side of the gun so, when I lay the gun down on its left side, the release button hits the table and releases the clip. The solution would be to make the spring a bit more firm (please do this BR). As I hold the gun tightly and fire it, I can see the BBs coming out at different angles (just like all the other BB guns I've owned). This is aggravating but typical of almost all BB guns under $100. Bear River was extremely quick to send me another one but it does the same thing. For now, I'll just set the gun down on its right side. UPDATE 3/19/2019: Due to the above issues they sent me another BB gun. I opened it up and loaded it and, immediately, BBs started jamming and it stopped firing them. I took out the cartridge and BBs went everywhere! It wasted the air cartridge too. The seal apparently wouldn't seal and the entire air cartridge emptied. Please STOP making this junk and using us as ginnea pigs!!

Received this gun about an hour ago. It was packaged well. Loaded the clip for the first time went outside and, got my first varmint. A chipmunk that has been stealing all my bird seed. The gun seems to shoot pretty accurately at or around 25 ft. I read a couple reviews where some had stated that the BB's keep falling out when they eject the clip. That is because when you load the baby clip and inserted into the gun the first BB goes into the chamber. And if you don't shoot all of your BB's before you pull the clip out one or two will fall out. Take your time and you should have no problems. Here's an addendum to my original review. I dropped the gun that I originally purchased and broke it. I liked it so well I just recently ordered another one. I have to tell you I have had problems with an abundance of chipmunks this year and, this week alone with the accuracy of this BB pistol using Umarex Black Diamond anodized BB's I have put down 5 Chipmunks at 35 to 40 yards. I highly recommend this BB gun for getting rid of small varmints and, if this whenever wears out or Break It I will certainly buy another one.
