Works as intended! And fast too!
I was skeptical of this. I had YEARS of wax buildup on my bathroom floor. We smoke, and over time smoke yellows EVERYTHING! So I bought this thinking I’d be scrubbing all day, on my hands and knees and cursing every puff of smoke I ever had. Not the case at all. I used SUPER HOT water, and just squeezed some of this directly onto the floor, then put the brush in the water, slop it around a bit and in literally SECONDS the wax was coming off in chunks! I couldn’t believe how easy it was tbh. I think the crucial key is the hot water. You want it practically boiling hot. After I saw how easy it was, I grabbed my hand power scrubber and just sat on the toilet, letting the scrubber go to work for me. Then I would soak it all up in some old cruddy cleaning towels, which went into the washer. Once my dingy floor was done, I went over it once more, stepped back and felt so satisfied that my bathroom looked like the day it was remodeled. I didn’t think to take before and after pics, but I can attest to this stuff working on pergo style floors. Oh, and don’t forget to clean the floors thoroughly after. If you don’t, the residue will get sticky. Lastly, throw on a new coat of shine and enjoy your new floors again. I hope my review helps you. 😊

Does the Job, and pretty easy to use
We moved into our (new to us) home approx. a year ago. Our housekeeper mistakenly used the Holloway House Quick Shine as floor CLEANER after a mere sweep of the floor. By the time we realized it, we had dirt, dust, dog hair, etc. all trapped under the horrible Quick Shine finish, which scratched and became dull very quickly. We had to order the Quick Shine Deep Cleaner to remove the polish from the floor. We mixed 1/4 cup of Cleaner to 1C hot water and worked in small sections. The Deep Cleaner worked as promised and removed the build-up, however, it took nearly 8 HOURS to completely clean our floors! Quick Shine is TERRIBLE on hard wood floors!! We poured the rest of the Quick Shine down the drain and warn anyone out there DO NOT BUY that product. As a note, it's easier to mix this Deep Cleaner in small batches, since it works best when it's mixed with HOT water. As the water cools, the Cleaner seems to be less effective and require more scrubbing to remove the build up.

Removed Years of Wax Buildup
This product removed years of built up wax on my hardwoods. I added it to very hot water and applied it to the floor in small sections with a mop. I would let it sit for 2-3 minutes, allowing the wax time to start lifting, and then I’d use a squeegee mop to remove the wax. I had to make several passes due to the amount of wax, but it works!

Works great! Simple to use.
Works great! Followed the directions and was able to scrape up 16 years of wax build up on our hardwood floors. It does require a lot of rinsing and a little elbow grease but we'll worth it.

FAR MORE WORK THAN ADVERTISED.
The product worked. Eventually. It took 6 applications, and almost a whole bottle, to get all the wax buildup removed from a 12x12 foot area. And A LOT of vigorous scrubbing. Down on my hands and knees, scrubbing with a scouring pad. There was only one thin coat of wax of my floors. I expected a lot less work. After about 10-12 hours of work, I finally got all the wax off the floor. I still have a living room and bedroom to do. I will look for another product.

Unbelievable Product
After purchsing a home with hardwood floors that appeared to be scratched and a surface that was peeling in places, I was sure that they would need to be completely sanded and re-sealed. After extensive research, I had a hunch that Quick Shine floor polish had been used on them, and perhaps if the old polish could be removed, the floors would be o.k. After purchasing this product, and trying a section of floor, using the recommended one cup deep cleaner to 1 gallon of water, I was able to remove the wax from the floor. However, a 4x4 section of floor took over 4 hours to completely remove the multiple layers of wax, and pulled most of the muscles in my arms, neck and back. Having almost 1,000 square feet of floor to do, I knew I would never be able to complete the job. After disregarding the instructions, I decided to mix a much stronger solution, 2 cups solution to 5 cups hot water. And OMG what a difference! I poured a thin layer of solution on the floor and could tell immediately that it was working much better. It almost immediately began to turn a milky white color. I waited approximately 20 minutes before beginning to "scrung" the floor. I had also gotten smart and gave up on using the back of a sponge on the "scrungy" side and bought large blue non-scratching scrunger pads that I could put a foot on and remove the wax that way. MUCH better on the back muscles. And my floors look brand new and gorgeous!Bottom line, this product works wonderfully, but with numerous layers of wax to remove it must be mixed at a much higher concentration in order to be effective, and live through the removal process. As a side note, I would NEVER put Quick Shine on a hard wood floor after experiencing just how difficult it is to remove.
