The likeness? Spot-on. It’s peak 1975 Richard Dreyfuss—complete with that glorious beard, science nerd swagger, and the kind of outfit that says “I do this for the love of marine biology, not the paycheck.” His face alone looks like it’s mid-argument with Quint about shark behavior, and yes, it’s beautiful. The accessories are enough to make any Spielberg devotee weep. The detailed backpack, the camera, the interchangeable hands—for gesturing wildly or holding grudges against local politicians who ignored shark warnings. Pose him at your desk and you’ll feel 23% smarter and 100% more likely to lecture someone about tiger sharks (a whaaat?). If Chief Brody is the heart, and Quint is the rage, Hooper is the brain of the operation. And now, he’s the brains of my collection. Final thoughts? Smile, you son of a shelf-warmer.

My husband and I were Quint and Brody for Halloween. I made a huge Orca costume prop for my husband to wear to our event. At the last minute he said it was a shame we didn't have Hooper or a 3rd person to dress up as him. I found this toy and it could not have been more perfect! The detail is incredible! It was hilarious that it ended up being the correct scale for the boat I made. I just glued him on and it was awesome! He is fully articulated and has two faces you can swap out. I chose to put the crushed cup in his hand and it holds in there by itself tightly. Very cool figure!

Richard Dreyfuss portrayed as the character Matt Hooper is a winner! The figure's clothes and accessories are spot-on from the movie. I had to laugh because NECA even included with the figure a crushed Styrofoam cup. If you're a fan of the movie you'll know the exact scene where that Styrofoam cup appears. A perfect collectible for any JAWS fan. Well done NECA!!!!!

This little 8'' hooper is a must have for any Die hard Jaws fan .The detail and likeness is pretty incredible and the items he comes with are fantastic. I would not consider this a toy but a collectors Item
