This pen ACTUALLY WORKS on felted wool (a tough fabric to work with!
GREAT, CLEAR directions on how to use. Pen has a "marble" inside (like a spray paint can); you shake the pen before using, and then press pen down on a piece of paper to release the ink. Then you trace over your paper pattern, lay the pattern upside down on the surface you want to transfer to, and use a dry iron on high heat to transfer the pattern. They suggest to pre-heat the target fabric to improve ink transfer and I agree this helps. I applied high iron heat for 90 seconds each time I did a transfer and found this worked best. The marble inside the pen is I think the KEY feature that makes this good. Also, the pen itself is clearly new, and has not sat around on a warehouse shelf drying out (as my previous pen seemed to have done).I used a black pen, but Sulky comes in other colors too.

Great Transfer Pen!
The Sulky Iron-On Transfer Pen works like a charm. I have tried many ways to transfer a pattern to the piece that I wanted to embroidery with no luck. Either the lines were to faint or the transfer wouldn't transfer. The transfer pen gave me a well defined pattern to work with. As mentioned, in the other comments, be careful on the width of your lines on transfer paper and be sure your dry iron is hot. This is definitely a rebuy product!

Good but I'm unlikely to use this for detailed embroidery
This was so, so easy to use and worked really well, the only reason I'm removing a star is it was a fair bit thicker than expected and seemed to slightly spread a little to make a less-than-solid line sometimes (this could totally be my fault, but I'd want to know as a new customer, so I'm mentioning it)I'm including a photo of my first project with it - I do pretty fine-detailed embroidery and probably won't reuse it on this pattern in particular, but definitely later for work on darker fabrics or projects without so many tiny details.

Great rug hooking tool
Transferred pattern to linen for my rug hooking perfectly! I didn't believe it would work when my friend told me to use this method but I decided to give it a try and I was shocked when it did! It was so simple! Have ordered it again and this is my preferred method now!

Only lasted for one small transfer
I wasted a lot of time trying to get more than one small transfer out of it. Possibly product was too old/dried out. I am returning it because of this.
