ITEM AS DESCRIBED, THE FIT IS GREAT FOR MY GMRS SETUP, GREAT VALUE FOR THE COST, SO FAR, PAIRED WITH A GMRS ANTENNA AND 20 WATT RADIO, IT HAS HAD NO NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THE FUNCTIONALITY, SIGNAL STRENGTH, RECEPTION OF MY RADIO, I AM TALKING OFF A REPEATER 35-40 MILES FROM MY HOME WITH NO REPORTED ISSUES. GOOD CONNECTION POINTS FOR INLINE OFF THE ANTENNA TO THE CABLE, AND THE LITTLE SCREW FOR THE GROUND WIRE IS A GOOD CONNECTION.

I haven't figured out yet what the acting gadget is in these little fellas. I'm thinking it might be just an air gap, but short of connecting it to a HV supply and monitoring the current, I can't determine what the maximum RF power throughput can be. There was no technical literature shipped with them, and I have been unsuccessful finding ratings on line. They probably work, but LEGAL CB transceivers are rated at what? Five Watts???

I attached a vertical antenna to my 25' telescoping flag pole i used this to connect the antenna to the coax then ran a ground to the ground rod for my load center. When I start building portable antennas I will make sure there is one on each.

Espero no se ise en caso de rayo en casa, pero la estatica si la disminuye, sobre todo en dias con alta estatica, claro.... Lo mejor desconectar antenas por completo en tormenta electrica
