dCables Nikon D3100 USB Cable - USB Computer Cord for D3100

It's odd that the USB cable doesn't come with the camera, but it's good that I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg to get it. Good length so I can put the camera near without it getting in the way.

I haven't actually needed to use this yet but I was looking for a USB cable for my D3100 that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. One of my laptops decided it didn't want to give back the plastic filler card that goes in the camera card slot so I can't upload pics onto that laptop without a camera cable and my D3100 didn't come with one. I knew where to turn though, Amazon! The cable fits the camera so I know it will work, I just don't have any pictures right now that I want to upload.

What can I say about a simple cable. it connects my Nikon D3100 to the computer and it does it well. There really isn't anything complicated about it. Plug the cable in and download, done.

As long as a cable has the correct pin in and pin outs at the opposite ends, it will work satisfactorily. Using this cable I can upload video, pictures as well as edit/delete photos on my D3100. The price is right, it allows full functionality between my camera and my computer using Linux 12.04LTS and GIMP Image editor. The cable works just fine and I am not paying extra money for basically the same cable with the camera manufacturer's name on it.

I got this USB Cable because Nikon doesn't recommend taking out the memory card out of the D3100 camera to download pictures on your PC. This cable works great !!!

This is another review I'll keep pretty short. I ordered this cable on Amazon, because it's way cheaper than any USB cable you'd buy in a big box store. I have no real electronics shops in my area, so this was perfect. It's a very acceptable cord. The ends are great, the cable isn't cheap, and it's length is suitable. I didn't have any problems connecting my D3100 to my PC to download my photos. 5 stars. It works.

It's obvious you need one of these cables if you own a Nikon, the thing I don't understand is why it didn't come with the camera and I had to make a separate purchase

I recently bought a Nikon D3100 camera and didn't realize there was no cord attachment. I knew the box had said so but I didn't think I needed it either. After taking the memory card out a few times and placing it in the computer I figured there had to be a better way. I bought this cord and all my problems were solved. It works great and fit perfectly, which I'll admit I was afraid it wouldn't.

I have a problem here. the cord is advertised in Canadian dollars, but i got billed American dollars. my first review wasn't published, i don't know about this one either.

This item works perfectly with my Nikon D3100 and was significantly lower in price than Nikon brand name USB cables .I would certainly deal with the seller again.
