Bought these for my HiSET/GED students who needed a study guide for the social studies test. Hits a lot of standards and has excellent vocabulary. Students found it very helpful. Although there are a lot of great online resources, I appreciate something like this since it’s got a lot of compact lessons inside that requires writing instead of typing. Definitely helps memory building. Quizzes are great with the answers in the back.

8th Grade Homeschool Review: As a parent and homeschool educator, I've been using a set of books for 8th-grade homeschooling, and I'd like to share my thoughts. What I appreciate most about these books is their comprehensive approach. They offer a well-structured curriculum that allows students to delve into subjects such as mathematics, science, literature, and history. The content is clear, and the exercises and activities help reinforce the learning process. However, it's worth noting that while these books are fantastic as guides, they might not provide all the answers. As with any educational materials, there may be moments when students need additional support or clarification. In such cases, we've found supplemental videos and other educational resources to be incredibly helpful. The combination of these books and supplementary materials has been the key to a well-rounded education. Wish they had past 8th grade love these books for my kids

Gets the job done for my 8th grader. He gets to learn extra while getting chore money for any he chooses to do. Almost done with the book after a month , and now I get daily facts lol.

We use this as just a refresher for our homeschoolers in the social studies area. I wish it had more relevant content in the civics portion related to actual government, ie; branches, process of laws, etc. But if you are looking for a filler for car rides, waits in dr office, those in between moments (kids get them but as parents, do we really?) then this is an ok choice.

I bought this workbook on a whim expecting to add it to my rainy day once in a while pile, but wow, both me AND my child really enjoy this! The teacher does a great job of reading though things slowly - but not in a boring way. He pauses and lets you know to take a pause to discuss your thoughts and opinions on things. I wish there was more curriculum like this and I wish they had this at a high school level!
