Great cable, great price and great length!
Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CJD5HBI I bought this cable because the one that came with my pluggable docking station was way too short for my needs and ended up always being under tension, putting strain on the USB ports. The build quality of this cable is excellent. The longer-than-average allows for much more flexibility in its use. Both ends fit very snug in their ports and don't disconnect even when I adjust the laptop's positioning. Receiving two for this price is an excellent deal and I love having a backup cable, just in case something happens. I'm using this with a MBP connected to a docking station that has two additional monitors + six USB ports, audio in/out and everything's running well with no connectivity/throughput issues. If you're looking for a Type A to B USB 3.0 cable, I'd highly recommend getting this one!

One star off for the annoying and pointless Cable Matters flappy (and sticky) sticker.
The cable is just what you need, and at a good price, but the added 'Cable Matters' flappy sticker is pointless and annoying - it slips along the cable leaving a sticky residue. You'll either need to tolerate this, and get sticky fingers when you handle the cable, or remove the label and clean off the glue with lighter fuel. Yeah, okay, it sounds a bit petty, but it's annoying and would encourage me to look elsewhere next time - sticky and high tech don't mix.

Too Snug for ports on ALL my devices - Concerned they will ruin the ports!
I bought two packs of the 6 ft. cables (total of 4 cables). I opted for the blue color. The cables are TOO SNUG for the ports on my iMac, my two MacBook Pros, my Mac Book Air, and a hub. They are so tight on my computers, I am concerned that i will ruin my ports taking the cables in and out. I have purchased Cable Matters in the past - the same exact model. I have 4 black ones from years 2017 and 2019, and they work fine. They are not too snug for the ports on my computers. I have not had any problems with the black ones I purchased in prior years. I am wondering why I'm having trouble with the ones I just bought in July 2023. And, I am very concerned that I will do damage to the ports on my computers. I REALLY have to struggle to get the USB A part of the cable out of my computer ports. I have to pull very hard to get the cables out. The other end (USB B) is also snug on my devices, but it’s not as tight as the USB A end. If I keep doing this, I am afraid I will absolutely ruin the ports. I'm afraid to keep these cables. The way I use them, I cannot just plug them into one of my computers or an external hard drive and leave it set up that way. I need to plug them in and out of the ports on my different computers and devices - for example, to backup a computer to an external drive . I need to use them for different purposes and can't leave them plugged into the same computer all the time. I'm very concerned any repetitive in/out of these cables will compromise my equipment. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate them. Do they loosen up over time? Should I return them to protect my equipment? UPDATE: I worked with Cable Matters customer service on the problem. They got back to me immediately, addressed the problem, and were very easy to work with. The customer service reps were very interested in customer satisfaction for their product. They listened to what I had to say. I told them I had purchased these same cables in the past, and had no problems with them. The customer service reps solved my issue very quickly. I would DEFINITELY buy from this company again.

Could not have asked for more.
Perfect to run from my computer to a monitor with powered USB 3.0 ports, and from that monitor to a second monitor and on to a powered USB 1. hub. I am able to run all my peripherals (mouse, keyboard, and external DVD burner) through a single USB 3.0 port now and everything works great! Sturdy built cable connections and heavy duty cables and you can't beat the lifetime guarantee.
