Works great bought for my son to use with his lego technic sets and it had enough power to move his winch on his crane and actually pull stuff with it!

The LEGO XL motors pack serious amounts of torque. Buy these if you want your Technic models to come to life - the smaller, cheaper M motors just aren't suited for moving big models at a decent pace nor are they torquey enough to perform heavy duty functions. I used one of these to power a dump function and the motor with gearing easily lifts 2kg! Just make sure you buy at a fair price.

It is a strong motor. When my finger got into the gears driven by this motor, it got torn and bled, the motor did not stop. So it needs to be handled with some care and respect. We have the motor and the battery pack, and I wanted to build with my sons some cars, but the strength of the motor, and that it starts suddenly, just on/off, not gradually, makes some problems: frequently the sudden acceleration pulls the gears apart. Still. this is just to specification, I bought a strong motor and got it. What I believe to be a real design flaw is that it does not connect well with Lego pieces; you cannot connect it directly with Lego bricks. The only way to attach it is through the holes for additional axles. One advice for other car builders: the chain is really useful, it allows you to drive both wheels synchronously, so the acceleration comes on al wheels, and does not pull the car apart.

Lego xl motor is the best motor for trucks, SUVs and some cars, is not the fastest but it is the stronger, I used it for my Lego 42039 (b model) and it works great with only one motor for driving, of course you need the servo motor for steering, the delivery time was just fine.

This motor is definitely worth the buy, you will need this for any moving Lego structural besides propellers. Using Lego gears, you can soup this motor to the point your Legos start bend'in, yup, worth it.

This motor is typical of the quality products made by LEGO. It is easy to make your creations movable with this motor (you also need the battery box) and will make them more interesting as they come alive with movement. It is well made and it should survive many years of abuse!

This little engine has the power of a monster. It can lift up to five pounds, which is a lot of Lego if you know what I mean. I definetly recommend it for all hardcore Lego fans who want to power-up large models.
