I recently had the opportunity to try out the Cubitron 3M Xtract Net Disc 710W, 5 in, 12 Piece Multi-Pack Hook and Loop Sanding Discs, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed! These sanding discs have completely changed the way I approach sanding tasks, and they have exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the assortment of grades in this pack is incredibly convenient. With options ranging from 80 to 320 grit, I found the perfect disc for every project I tackled. Whether I needed to remove rough material quickly or achieve a smooth, polished finish, these discs had me covered. One of the standout features of the Cubitron Xtract Net Discs is their virtually dust-free design. Sanding has always been a messy task, but with these discs, I experienced a noticeable reduction in dust and debris. The Xtract Net technology is simply brilliant – it effectively captures and contains dust, keeping the work area cleaner and healthier. I no longer had to worry about harmful dust particles floating around, making my sanding projects not only more efficient but also safer. The hook and loop attachment system is another major plus. It's rare that a product lives up to it's claims. This one exceeds them. I have been sanding 80's white pine lacquered doors, cabinets and door frames for weeks. I have burnt through so many sanding disks I lost count. This particular lacquer seems to just eat disks and it takes forever. It's been so bad I bought two packs of these disks to get through one last door and door frame and figured I might come up short so I bought a hundred pack of some cheaper disks also. I used one and it's still going like new. The last door and frame I did took me the better part of an afternoon. This one was less than an hour. they claim 2x as fast as a traditional sandpaper but I'd rate that an underestimate. The best part is I only had to use the 80 grit. Not only does it cut better but the finish is closer to what I'd expect with a 120 or better grit. I am painting and not staining the doors so it's good enough for what I need without having to go over with a higher grit. I don't generally rave about a product, but I still have sawdust on my hands. I had to run in an write this review before I forgot. they aren't cheap but neither are the packs of diablo disks I've been buying at the home despot. With the time saved and the fact I used 1 disk where I probably would have used 4 or 5 of the diablos makes them a value at twice what I paid. This is honestly the most impressed I've been with a new product this year. Amazing, 10 stars. I was so tired of sanding I wanted a year of sander on the shelf. Now I am looking for a new sanding project just to run these things through the paces.

After looking online and watching a couple of sanding comparison videos on YouTube, I landed on these pads. They were ranking in the top 3 of nearly every video, with great material removal per gram of sanding, minimal dust, and longevity. These disks are amazing compared to the diablo sanding disks I was using on my 5" orbital sander. I purchased the sample pack of different grits to try them out and to go through all the sanding stages of a project I was working on. The results were great, the dust was indeed quite less and was licked up by my sander much easier and the sanding time was cut in half at least. A few passes of each grit gave me the results I was hoping for and even helped remove the swirls left in the wood from the previous disks that were used. I will be buying each of these in larger quantities for all my future projects.

3m is quality. I was dealing with a bit of clogging, but I believe this was due to a specific finish. I appreciate that there is space in-between the grit for better dust collection. Here you can see I did get some clogging as I mentioned but it sprayed off easily with my compressor.

There is no better hook and loop disc on the market. It lasts a long time and dust extraction is incredible. I have switched to these exclusively and am so thankful that I have come across these simply the best. If you are trying to decide whether or not to purchase just do it one time. You will be convinced to never go back to the old discs.

When hooked to shop van, the sander produced little to no drywall dust. Completely worked, great quality product!

I've only used standard sanding discs in the past. I bought these on a whim because I hear how everyone raves about them. I'll only buy Net Discs from now on. Way better at keeping the area clean with dust extraction, they last a lot longer, and I don't have to worry about lining up those stupid holes like other sand paper discs.

I've sanded about 10 board feet of Purpleheart with these, and they work very well. The mesh allows very little dust to escape my vacuum, and the results are very smooth.

I've been using these 3M Xtract Cubitron II net discs for various workshop projects, and they're genuinely impressive bits of kit - though you do pay for the quality. The net design is brilliant for dust extraction. If you've got a proper vacuum setup, these work an absolute treat - minimal clogging, and they last considerably longer than standard paper discs. The Cubitron II abrasive cuts aggressively and consistently, which means you're not standing there for ages working through grits. The multi-pack with various grits (80+ through to 320+) is handy - covers you from initial stock removal right through to finer finishing work. The 127mm size fits most random orbital sanders without any bother. Hook and loop backing holds securely, and the discs don't tear or fall apart even when you're working them fairly hard. Now, the elephant in the room: the price. These aren't cheap. You're paying 3M premium prices, and if you're just doing occasional DIY or hobby work, you might find cheaper alternatives perfectly adequate. But if you're doing regular sanding work and want discs that cut efficiently and last, these justify the cost through performance and longevity. They're particularly good on wood and painted surfaces. Less experience with them on metal, but for woodworking they're top-notch. If you've got the budget and do serious amounts of sanding, these are worth it. For occasional use, might be overkill. Recommended for professionals and serious hobbyists.

Was using Bosch disc before tried this. Amazed how effective was the discs and the holes helps extracts the dust off quickly into the dust bag.
