Her sections on framework, rebuttal, block writing, and impact calculus are invaluable and present otherwise overwhelming concepts in simple, direct, and precise language. This book is the best I have read in teaching Public Forum debate. Most of the reading is appropriate for high schoolers.

This is one of the few books that takes readers beyond the basics of debate and helps them formulate winning strategies.

This well-written book offers a nice introduction to the public forum debate event. Artmann nicely describes the basics of the event and does a great job of introducing more advanced strategies. The book is suitable for debaters and coaches. If you read it, you can be confident that you will know what you need to know to succeed in participating in or coaching public forum debate.
