Great for the rain!
Have had this for 3 years and finally used it for Halloween 2024 and it worked great!!It was windy and rainy where we are and I set this up before the trick or treaters. Easy set up. And I staked out the guide lines and it stood up to the wind and kept us all dry!

Easy set up, large space, looks good.
Just set this up to test it in the driveway. Really great and easy to use even for one person. Reply nice large space underneath and lots of ways to tighten it up and dial in the fit. Looking forward to using it in the field. Really like the neutral colors. High quality materials and make, really practical and good fitting storage bag and bags for pole and spikes. Glad I gave it a try!

Very well made! Typical Kelty.
We have this set up as an awning on our travel trailer. It sets up easy and it appears to be very well-made. My only complaint is part of the awning is two layers of fabric and in a torrential rain water gets between the two layers. I haven’t quite figured out how to drain it out of there.

This tarp is awesome!
I put it in my backyard just to see how big it is and test it out before I took it camping. It seems legit! It comes in such a nice little bag too. I love the pack-ability of it. Kelty is an amazing company that only makes amazing things, so I am not surprised. You may save $20 on a knock off but I guarantee it won’t be Kelty quality and user-ability! Kelty should pay me money for supporting them!

They stood behind it
Received as a gift and sat in box four months. Made mistake of not assembling at home before taking to wilderness While attempting setup at camp site discovered extension poles were mismatched making product unusable. Company was excellent though. Responded quickly with replacement part. It assembled beautifully and we are looking forward to using on next camp out.

Over priced for product
Over priced for canopy, $40 less would be fair.Buckles on rope to steak doesn't work, rope still slides through and will not tighten tarp.Did not come with mallet.Steaks are cheap. Also needs two poles to hold up tarp.

Fits nicely on my 2016 Ford transit standard height van
Quality made, nice fit offers nice shade and shelter from rain. Attached easily. You will need a couple of water wienies to protect from open rear doors.

Great value!
Overall I gotta say I am impressed with this awning. I've been looking at awnings for awhile, mainly the overlanding type that attach to the roof rack. Some wrap 270* around your vehicle and that sounded great to me. But they're pricey (up to $1500 for some) but the main thing I don't like about them is that they're high off the ground. Of course they are you say, but that height means less shade. This doesn't have that problem due to the design, and I can buy 8 of these for the same price as the other. The trade off is ease of deployment.I un-boxed and put it up in my backyard so I'd know how it works before actual use. The tarp itself was thicker (at least twice as thick as most rainflies) than I expected it to be and the seams are already taped for water proofing. The pole that holds it up is fairly heavy duty and about the size I expected it to be, what I didn't expect was to see it shock corded. I immediately thought I need to get a backup\replacement to carry with me. But as you can see in the pics it has a steal wire in between the segments, nice forethought Kealty! The stacks, are the same type you'd find with most tents but a bit heavier duty. It all worked better than I expected, the day I "tested" had winds 10-15 mph gusting to 25mh. With all the wind this thing held steady. Overall I'm impressed with this find and would highly recommend to anyone not wanting the roof rack type. Don't cheap out on overseas knock off's, this is the real deal! The only reason for only 4 stars is just because I haven't actually used it "out in the wild" yet. I will likely update once I do
