Q: Does this item state the flavor? i have some of another brand in maple flavor and i wanted to try another flavor for my cats. thank you.

The package says it’s in a “palatable base”. I asked my cats and they said it was “give me more please” flavor.

I don't know why you need a syringe, just put some on your finger and your cat will Most likely lick it off, as it is flavored to make it attractive to them.

Q: What is the difference between the basic and updated version?

It’s the only one available I believe. Seems to work as well as original.
