Has a lot of torque
I have used this motor for lifting a theater prop (a few pounds). I did not use any gearbox, it was direct drive. This motor has enough torque as long as you do not spin it extra fast. It works reliably and did not overheat in my setup.

Exactly as described. Good and strong stepper motor.
Showed up after only a few days to help repair my CNC machine. Works perfectly like OEM manufactured parts at a fraction of the price. Would buy again!

Reliable
I needed a stepper for my cnc machine's A axis. This unit has worked flawlessly since in installed it.I have used many steppers and controllers from StepperOnline before and this unit performs just like all the others.... perfect. Would definitely buy again!

Solid motors
These feel like a good quality stepper motor and respond properly to the DM556 drivers they're connected to. The only reason for a star off is due to the 3 them arriving in two or three shipments with one looking like it was a return, evidenced by the set screw mark in the flat of the shaft (see pic), the wires not being wrapped up as from the factory, and missing packing foam and datasheet. I'm happy that it seems to be functioning properly so far(no load test yet) but don't appreciate paying full price for items that aren't factory fresh

Read the power data to get this to last forever
Hi. My name is Jim, and I'm a tinkerer. (Hi, Jim!!) Building machines and devices since, well, since forever. I've used these steppers for everything from engravers, to CNC machines to turning valves on and off at precise amounts. The only thing I can tell you is they'll last forever if you set the driver to exactly what the stepper needs for your use. You can over drive them and get them hot enough to cook on, or you can set them to where they need to be. They'll work both ways. However, they will not have the same lifespan. Set them right, you'll wear out your linear bearings before you come close to wearing out these steppers.
