I suffered a severe flare of RA and was bed bound with excruciating pain in shoulders, hips, knees and fingers. I was on 25mg of steroid [Prednisolone] The steroid had very little effect and 2 weeks in I had no improvement. The GP would not increase the dose, mainly due to my age and other problems. I took the Life balance proteolytic enzymes, 1 capsule x2 a day on an empty stomach, as per instructions , and the Allievi8 x3 a day after food. After about the fifth day on this regime I noticed an improvement from the dreadful pain.
