Very Good Boots
I wanted boots which could slip on and off and these are perfect in that regard. I've taken my dog on a couple of 30-40 minute walk in these and my feet feel fine.I stated they fit "somewhat large", though I believe that's by design. These are winter boots, so you are most likely wearing them with thick socks. I had originally gotten a pair of Keen boots, but even in thin socks they felt snug. With the Merrell boots, I can wear my thickest wool socks and the boots fit perfectly.A slight annoyance is the opening at the top. It's large so I can slip my size 13 feet in and out, but the opening is so large that some of my pants struggle to go over it. Minor annoyance, and I'm not sure how you could have it smaller while still allowing easy slip on and off, so I didn't lower its rating. Perhaps a more flexible/stretchy material would solve this problem, but then it may not be as hearty/effective as a waterproof boot.Love these boots, and am excited to see how they last.

Probably better if you have flat feet
I live in the proverbial "cabin in the woods" in Canada. On a typical day I will be in and out of the cabin at least 1/2 dozen times and life is a lot easier if you have a pair of boots that are easy to slip on and off. I used to use LL Bean's Duck Boots, but they only come in full sizes, so were either too tight, or too loose. After reading reviews on this boot, I purchased 1/2 size larger than I normally wear, hoping that I could use heavy socks, or worst case my lighter mid-weight socks. I abandoned the heavy socks after the first wearing, waaay too difficult to get on and off, even with the mid-weights it is a struggle to get them on. I have a high arch and therein lies the problem, I have to pull on the front of the boot, then the rear and repeat until my arch clears and the foot slides into the boot. Eight days of constant use has not made an appreciable difference, although I do notice the boots are a little easier to don/remove later in the day. The realization that these boots wouldn't meet my needs came when I put on my Crocs last night to go and get firewood. As to the boot itself, they are comfortable to wear and look a heck of a lot better than my bush boots. I will keep them and use them for extended outings, for short excursions it's not worth the hassle. I have worn the boots in below-zero F temps and they are warm enough if you keep moving, if you are stationary for long periods, I don't think that I would wear them below 20F.

Fairly Voluminous Toe Box and shaft, poor quality
I've bought Merrell for many years. The quality of the shoes has slowly degraded, along with the consistency of materials. They've obviously been bought out and have gone the way of many major brands relying on Chinese construction methods. The soles are not Vibram or sturdy. The toe box is several sizes too large and overall fit of the foot is sloppy. If you have very large and robust feet these maybe just the shoes for you. For me even with extremely thick socks there was too much excess room. The connection of the shaft and leg opening are very large and you will have difficulty fitting your pant legs over them. I do not think the quality of the construction warrants the price and you would be better off with a different brand.

I really like Merrell shoes
I really like Merrell shoes, particularly the casual ones. Over the last 10 years I've had three pair of snow/water resistant boots all from Merrell. This particular pair was a disappointment as they began taking on water while hiking in the Ottawa valley in springtime. The boots fit my foot according to size [12M], they were comfortable, although a bit difficult to get on [perhaps a zipper next time], But the problem of taking on water while hiking through wet grass was a deal breaker for me. Needless to say I asked Merrell to honor their warranty. Which they did even after having worn them for several months.

Great waterproof slip-on!
This boot is very comfortable and looks good too. I am a size 13 with a narrowish foot and have always found Merrell fit extremely well and their sizing is very consistent. If you have ever bought any Merrell and it fit well, you are that size in every Merrell. The boot is extremely waterproof, I live on the East coast where it rains all winter, which is why I bought this for shoveling the driveway and various things you need to get outside for quickly. The insulation is nice and warm and the boot height is perfect. The boot was a little hard to slip on the first half dozen or so times, but now it slips on just right. Glad I bought this!

What a comfortable cold weather boot !!!
I'm retired and not exactly Mr. Flexible. These boots are easy for me to put on thanks to the 3 finger loops. They're a snug, smooth slide in at first, and have become a little easier to put on as they wear in. The top of the boot is large enough to get your foot started into, but small enough to fit under a standard jean cuff, and easily under any pair of khakis I own. The same super comfortable Merrell fit as any wearer knows, and they don't slide around or feel loose as you walk. Super warm on the coldest day, yet my foot never sweats while I wear them. They are an attractive boot true to size and width, identical to all style Merrells if you already own a pair. I've owned them for about 2 months now, they did not require a break-in period and I wear them regularly outdoors. I highly reccommend them to anyone looking for a warm, rugged slip on boot.

Great Boot!
Hubby picked this out for lighter weight, warmth, sturdiness & waterproof. Has bad knees so trekking around with 4 lb.heavy boots cripples him by end of day. Can't rave any more about these boots than he did for the first week he wore them daily. Wants a 2nd pair in case he gets these wet inside from high water or snow, not from leaking. Real solid binding that cements the one piece bottom from separating from the boot. Comfy inside with deep tread on the bottom for solid footing. Great Boot!

buy them you wont regret
best boots for men and keeps feet nice and warm. i bought it for my hubs as he loved the Chelsea boot slip on ones and hates laces or the big timberland lace boots . he always ruins his shoes in the winter. this is water proof, real leather and has really good thermal quality stuff inside. he's had them for 3 winters now and they are still in good condition and he loves them, cos they function. his feet are warm, boots have grip and they look smart causal with jeans. personally i wish I can find ones just like this for women.

Excellent quality
It may have taken a year and a day for them to arrive but it was worth the wait. The photos do not do them justice! Very warm with a thermalite lining, solid soles, chunky grips, high quality stitching and leather. Just a really well made pair of boots. Merrell in my experience are always quality.
