Solid stuff when magnets are huge and powerful, dont use ferrite magnets - not strong enough.
2oz is actually quite a bit. Good stuff, reacts with magnets and may be good for injecting into the bum of a security guard to free your human magnet friend. I'd say don't actually get this on anything, as it really stains the crap out of your hands/clothes/cat. For extra fun suspend it in about a 70/30 rubbing alcohol/distilled water solution. If you suspend it in 100 alcohol, it separates from the oil suspension and becomes these little black chunks that will be like the worst paint you've ever gotten on your hands. I made the mistake of dumping it in my white bathroom sink and then touched the chunk. It promptly stuck to my fingers and turned them black. I then tried to wipe it out of the sink which was wrong and it spread like a strange paint. Needless to say, the only thing that got this off my hands and sink was more rubbing alcohol and determined rubbing (heh). Get some bottles and make some 'Dwarfs in a bottle' and wow your anime friends with your amazing living Dwarf. Just no soul sucking.

I love it
This is a great product! I use it in my sensory bottles, and people love it. It can be a bit messy, so you need to be careful when handling it, and it can be difficult to clean up. However, I believe it's worth it. I have purchased several bottles so far and plan to continue buying more.

use one magnet at a time, and you'll believe in magic
this stuff is nuts. it makes you believe in magic. warning, this can be messy. multiple regular n-s pole permanent magnets snap together at a certain distance and the ferrofluid can splatter. fair warning, but it's worth it. use 1 magnet at a time.

Read first.
I tried every kind of suspension liquid to make this ferrofluid work for displays that my son and I wanted to give his friends. We tried mineral oil, vegetable, and vegetable with a little water. Don’t buy if you are wanting to make displays it won’t work. Also it is not very magnetic a lot of the “ferrofluid” will be left behind when trying to get it to move through the suspension fluid clouding up the entire solution leaving you with a jar of solid blackness and no visibility. I don’t know what this is probably some iron shavings, water based food coloring, and oil is my guess.

Good quality ferrofluid!
Great flow and magnetic properties to this fluid! I tried making my own for some projects and it did not go too well. This stuff works great! No issues at all.

Be extra extra careful very messy
What a mess but my fault thought I was being careful but not careful enough

Works well for photos
Perfect for what I needed it for! I was looking for a macro shot of it and it worked out beautifully. Note: I did not use the Petri dish that came with the kit (I had some larger glass ones) nor did I use the magnets that came with it (I had stronger ones available).

リールの防水に使いましたが、量が多く安心して注油できました。

I'm not a chemist, but it seems to be the real deal. If you want to make a display just add one pipette squeeze to a 1:1 ratio of distilled water to isopropyl alcohol. I used 99% isopropyl but I'm told also rubbing alcohol works well.
