There are a little hard to clip onto each other so I definitely suggest a hammer. They’re pretty easy to trim if you have sharp scissors. I love it though and it fits perfect as a lid!

I had the standard egg crate top I bought at Lowes and to my surprise, I had a diamond goby somehow jump through one of the small holes and die on top of the grid. The options for upgrade were glass, netting, or this product which has smaller holes. These are a little tough to assemble, but if you line them up correctly and then tap them together with a hammer they will fit. I then used a pair of side cutters to get a clean flush cut where I needed to resize or make cutouts. I bought enough to do one side of my 90 gal to make sure it worked. A few weeks later I bought enough to do the other side. These are pretty sturdy, have smaller holes than the standard egg crate, and don't block as much light as the standard as they are thinner. Overall a great buy.

I put these in the bottom of a small ultrasonic cleaner to keep the parts from buzzing on the bottom of the tank. It works great as long as the parts are larger than the plastic grid openings.

The items arrived flat. The pieces could interconnect. It was a bit tight but connected well and remained straight.The panel's top and bottom surfaces are different. This keeps it more flush with the bottom of the tank.Overall it's a good product, and seems sturdy. Probably better quality than needed since it will be covered up anyway.

Insanely clutch, perfectly fit 45-50 gal at 11 by 11 L white. Only needed 3 pieces. Def worth the penny.

I bought this set to use as a top for my 55 gallon fish tank. It works perfectly and can be cut easily. I have holes cut in the top for food and plants to grow. It lets a lot of good light in. I got rid of the top that came with my kit and upgraded lights. I was hoping this would work as a top and it does. Just an idea if you are looking for a good cheap aquarium top that works great and will keep your jumpers in, if you have some of those :)

The media could not be loaded. I didn't like that my bettas can go through the grid, the holes are big as well as the sides are wide and have too much space and they slide right through. The sides are sharp and jagged from being cut to size which will damage their delicate fins. This is not ideal for dividing a tank with two betta males. I already chopped it up so I guess I'll use them for lids as everyone else has been doing. Spent the whole morning putting it together & I got crap to do & cannot be figuring this out again right now.

Fairly easy to cut to size and handy to have to seperate my betas!

I needed something to cover the opened section of my aquarium to prevent my fish and shrimps to jump out, so I thought I'd tried this. I'm pretty happy with this product, I was able to easily cut it with a small saw to the exact measurements so it fits around my HOB filter and my lamp. I was worried they would have a slight curve, but the four pieces are perfectly flat. I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is but it does the job so I'm happy.
