Improves Comfort ++
An amazing job of improving the air flow. The filter seems to act as a baffle/vane which straightens the air flow, and reduces rapid spikes which used to cause the (soft) seals on my mask to jump (and then slip off).Slept through the night, in full comfort, and awoke feeling refreshed. This is one of the biggest improvements I've felt since using my CPAP in the first place!

Excellent Muffler But A Filter...?
Having worn a CPAP for 12 years I was surprised I needed an in-line filter as the machine has one built in. And as a filter I have no idea well how these work. Nothing seems to be visible and no instructions came with them. HOWEVER, as a muffler these are outstanding. Yes after a while one gets used to the white noise of the air whooshing through the mask but these eliminate nearly all CPAP noise. For the first time in 12 years silence! I can't rate the filtering but the sound reduction is A+. It might take a while to get used to the size and weight but the quiet is worth it. Be patient for a few days.

Good filters that fit well
Used inline on a CPAP machine and they work really well. I keep them onhand and just reorder as needed now. These seem to be holding up well for the intended use.

Solid filter.
I got this form my Dreamstation after the recall. I never used a UV cleaning system, but better safe than sorry until the replacement arrives. The Dreamstation has a 2 stage filter on the intake, but nothing on the hose. I gave these a shot after reading that a secondary filter would stop particulates from the insulation issue. Wow was I surprised. In a month it went from white to a medium grey. I noticed no reduction in pressure either (my machine is set to 14gpm). I will keep using these even after I get the replacement machine.

In line filter use when your BPAP/CPAP is on Recall
I am using this extra filter because my BPAP/CPAP machine is on Recall from the manufacture but it is taking for ever to get it replaced. Dr. Advised to use this a a means to filter out any insulation particles that may come loose. Had been getting sinus infection because of this problem. I have two other machines but those are also on recall. The manufacture sucks big time as I have been trying to get these machines replaced for over a year now. The dealer also is no help even getting a different brand.
