Works great as a replacement for my laptop's broken 3.5mm jack
My headphones jack broke on my old laptop, so got this little cable as a replacement and it works fine. Easy to use as it self-installs on Win 10, and has a nice satisfying click when you plug a cable into it. Stereo sound comes through nicely. Good quality and value.

Works Great
The audio-out stopped working on my 2014 HP desktop and I found this little device that allows one to hook up sound (and mic) via USB port. Who knew.

Output volume is extremely low.
I used this for a feed from a PC to a digital mixer as a second sound card. This loaded the Windows driver automatically and had no troubles with that. The headphone volume is so weak that I needed to turn the gain on my mixer to 95% to get any descent volume. This also led to some unwanted “hiss” on the channel. I found no way to adjust volume-out other than through Windows and that was at 100%. Never tried the MIC portion of the device. I find it difficult to believe someone could attempt to natively drive headphones with this.
