Much easier than the ttl boards where you have to use jumper wires. I had one already like that, then saw this and love it.

Adding WiFi to my 3d Printer, this is a good combo of WiFi module and writer. Not sure if the module is bad, or the writer but I keep getting a failure when programming it. Tried a few times with different parameters to no avail. It may be user error or a bad module, haven't determined which yet. Overall it's still a great deal and when I get some free time I'll continue troubleshooting to figure out what's going on.

Great timesaver - easy to use - no reset switches to bother with, etc.I am new to all things Arduino and struggled to flash an ESP-01 boards I have with just the Arduino IDE based on wiring setups I saw on YouTube, etc. This device takes away all that extra work.Just a couple of notes if your run into issues getting setup:My first attempts on one Windows 10 PC weren't encouraging - Timeout packet errors, board not found errors, etc. when I attempted to upload a sketch. The setup doc link gives very basic instructions on setting up the device. I tried another Windows 10 machine I have and it worked right away - basically plug and play!I had inadvertently set the Reset Method for the Generic ESP8266 Module in the Arduino IDE to "no dtr" based on bad advice on the problem PC (should be dtr aka nodemcu). I also manually deleted the CH341 drivers and reinstalled them from the link provided in the vendor description. Problems corrected.

I thought with the USB adapter this kit would make setting up wifi super easy for my BTT board and screen. I flashed the proper firmware and got it located as a hotspot so my laptop could connect to it. I couldn’t get anything to work after that. I couldn’t fully connect to it nor nothing would come up when I tried to access it via IP address. Luckily I found an Raspberry Pi so I’m using that instead and it works a lot better.

This is better than 2 others I tried.Works with both ESP-01 & ESP-01s.Has as extra header, so you can connect to a breadboard while connected to the ESP-01(s) - soooo handy (though I wish they were on opposite sides...You don't need to unplug it & replug it in to program.I don't think you even have to press the reset button, it just works - programs, then resets & you can connect over serial.One I tried (Black one with yellow connector from MakerFocus) wouldn't program. You have to solder GPIO to GND to get into programming mode. I soldered in a button, but was janky & not ideal.Another I tried (Red one with yellow connector from WishIOT) has a switch, which helped, to switch from programming mode to serial mode that basically jumpered GPIO to GND.But this is just so much easier - none of that headache. Just works. (after you figure out all of the SW headache, but the HW just works...)

I bought this for my 3d printer to make octoprint work recieved in a timely matter packed well only con of the process was no instructions so after searching youtube found many videos that solved the problem well worth the learning curve

I had been avoiding using my ESP-01 modules until I got this. Wiring everything up for programming them had always been a pain, but this makes it effortless.

If you have more than one of those ESP-01 or ESP-01S modules on hand, and you've been programming these using a cobbled-together circuit (see above, LOL), you owe yourself the 'luxury' of one of these adapters. OMG! These are so nice. No problem whatsoever programming through the Arduino IDE, no timing problems pushing buttons or pulling pins low, etc. They just work, and fingers crossed they will for years to come.

The trade off is you only get two GPIOs unless you try really hard with the RX and TX connections. However 1 wire only needs one GPIO for lots of devices, eg Dallas DS18B20 temp sensors.This board has a breakout for all eight pins, so if you have USB power handy to where you need this thing eg a computer room then its a very cheap way to add a set of temperature sensors.So far, for me the programmer has just worked and you simply forget about programming vs normal mode.

ESP8266 pins are horribly laid out and not breadboard friendly. You can use hookup wires and/or program it without this but it definitely makes it a lot easier. Annoyed I didn't get it sooner, low price makes it worthwhile if you're planning to do projects with these little ESPs.

The media could not be loaded.  Quanto ricevuto e' perfettamente aderente alla descrizione del prodotto sulla pagina Amazon.Il modulo ESP-01S ha una flash memory di 4MB(*) (32Mbit) come confermato da verifica(vedasi immagini allegate), il chip CH340 e' presente sul Prog Downloader Stemedu come confermato via software.L'upgrade, il download ed il backup della firmware(AT e/o Micropython) non richiede alcun intervento di setup sull'hardware, come personalmente verificato.L'unico appunto riguarda il prezzo, che a mio parere e' eccessivo; quindi 4 stelle.(*) permette di installare la firmware Micropython per flash size >= 2MB avente inclusi moduli quali urequest ed ussl - non presenti nella versione per ESP-01S con flash da 1MB
