Amazing pedal!
Amazing pedal for the price. The patches sound great. The best part is the tone software. I can make adjustments on my laptop on the fly. Thats so much better than having to use the knobs and the smaller display. Very easy to dial you sound in. 99 User patches that can be edited or replaced. 99 Preset patches that are always there if needed. It really is a fun, all around pedal for the orice of one stomp box. Also has a looper, tuner and much more!

Amazing Tech for great price
I am an intermediate guitar player. I enjoy playing many different types of music. This multi effects pedal allows me to emulate nearly any sound I need, and it is very easy to use. Plus, you can easily take it on the road and use it as a headphone amp, or play it into a small, Bluetooth speaker via aux input and play anywhere you are with minimal gear and big sound.I only gave it 4 stars for ease of use because it can be frustrating at first learning what buttons do what. I am sure a more experience player will not face these same frustrations.Anyway, I intend to keep this Boss GT-1 for a long time. It does so many things well and makes it easy to plug in and play into headphones without disturbing the family. That alone is worth the modest investment.

Best Multi FX in This Price Range
This is a great unit and the free download of Boss Tone Studio is top quality . Picked it up at Alto Music for a great deal. Was Mint in the box. It has a distinct Boss Tone just like their famous pedals. The pedal Sims are Spot On. My favorite Boss pedal is the Blues Driver 2 and this GT1 absolutely nails it. I ran them side by side and it is right on. The Blues Driver is the key to a lively pick nuance and tube feel. I run it before everything. Now that I picked up the GT1 I could sell my BD2 pedal but I won't cause it frees up another available fx. I really liked this pedal because of the small footprint. I use a lot of pedals and control vocal fx from a floor pedal. 22 Drives and 27 Amps and more than 100 fx. Hands down best sounding Overdrives and Amps. I have tried all the current Multifx and Amp simulators. This is now my favorite. It has the most organic tone and tube like response. I use a solid state Fender Mustang 3 amp and it really pairs nicely with the Gt1. It has the same engine as it's bigger brother the GT100 but not as many features for less than half the price. The Chorus comes with lots of control and tone hi and lo cutoffs. I have or had other multifx units and this one was the last to try. I send the signal to my amp and also to the Live PA system thru the Behringer Ultra DI 120 stereo direct box which cost less than 25. Great deal.

Solid Value
Great effects, although a bit complicated to program and operate. Sound quality is top rate, and provided presets include some interesting effects. Looper works as expected, although I wish it were easier to engage. Solid value for the money.

Pretty much replaced all my foot pedals
I already had OD, distortion, compression/sustain, chorus (rarely use), and a noise gate, was looking for something to add all the other types of foot pedals. Well, this covers all the ones I already have, and does it wonderfully. Not even using the others (though, might put the comp/sust in line). I can get all the types of OD and distortion I want, including Boss and Ratt. Lots of different reverb and delay, which I love. Tube screamers, wah, you name it. Sound is fantastic.Only downside is you cannot easily play with "knobs" and change the type and effects like you would for a footpedal. Say, like with reverb. Can't quickly switch between, spring, plate, etc, as well as depth. But, then, do you really do that? There are great patches you can download to give sound. Got one for Pink Floyd sound, Megadeath, Iron Maiden, Hendrix, so far. Then you can go and create your own, which I need to do. It was well worth the money. Definitely order the cable to connect it to your computer

An absolute joy to play
I started out using Marshall stacks like anyone else duking it out in the rock scene in the 80s. I also played Boss pedals starting way back when. For me, Boss was always the standard for excellence, from their various distortion pedals to chorus, flange, delay, etc. What I love about the GT series is the full-on amp models they contain, along with classic Boss pedal tones. This thing is just chock full of goodness. I play it through the headphones when I don't want to bother the family, or when the coast is clear I plug it directly into a Roland Cube and it just sounds amazing. In my experience all Boss and Roland products work great together because Roland owns Boss and makes sure of that. I have also run the GT-1 through the front of stacks and it gives you a whole new dimension. The built-in noise gate is also very effective. If you're looking for a great value and don't want to bust the bank the GT-1 is the answer. It's amazing.

Really good quality for the money
I was looking for a basic delay/reverb unit to put in the loop of my mixer for practice purposes. Cost was important and I didn't need a lot of effects. It turns out that this little guy is so good that I am going to use it for recording also. It has lots of good sounding BOSS effects and the software is really good (I have been using the BOSS software for a long time for my SY-300). It takes up a small amount of rare desk space and has convenient on/off switches for preamp (i.e. amp), O/D, delay, reverb and two other FX. I tried the wah effect briefly when I was setting it up and it was cool.

Outstanding multi effects pedal!
Ordered from Amazon where it was $20 less than the local big box store. This little multi effects processor sounds great! I play on a church worship team and used it live on the Sunday after I received it. Software installation on my W10 desktop was a breeze. The software is very intuitive with lots of free patches available online.I was so impressed, we purchased the Boss GT-1B for our bass players. They like it as well. These can use a standard pedal, center negative, 9 volt regulated power supply . I use a One Spot. The GT-1 fits in the pouch on my gig bag.I own a Boss ME-80, a Line6 Pod Go, and now this Boss GT1. My favorite? The little GT-1! 5 stars all the way!
