Amazing product ideal for a cake board fast delivery perfect fit for a wedding cake I made recently will definitely be ordering again if anymore of my cakes required a rustic wooden slice 😃

it has a very strange smell a bit like polystyrene or a chemical nothing like a wood product?? It should be odourless or have a natural scent this just smells synthetic. It looks great but unfortunately due to the smell of it I shall be returning it. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting food on it. Also I couldn't get hold of seller easily to request a 20cm plate. I will be returning it and purchasing one from Hobbycraft which has a 20cm slice. Hopefully it doesn't have a strong odour of chemicals!UPDATE - Hobbycraft stand was smaller without the lovely wood effect around the edges, but smelled natural. The Amazon stand which has been out of it's packaging all this time has now lost it's smell, so have Decided to keep it! It's nicer and the smell has gone. Thankfully

Really annoyed that the bark is nailed on. You can see some of them through the bark. Also I was using this for an art project and trying to cut through was annoying with long nails through it.

Iv ordered this for a very long time and iv never had a bad piece. It’s always accurate to the description, well packaged and arrives in good time. I highly recommend! Il be continuing ordering from them!

It’s a decent enough piece of wood and served my purposes well.No loose chips or evidence of staples/ metal etc.Packaging was a bit rubbish; massive box with just some brown paper crudely wrapped around it but luckily was not damaged whilst in transit.The dreaded “but”… I wish I had shopped around first as I found a near enough identical wood piece in a well known craft store for a fraction of the price! So another Amazon item that has been majorly overpriced but I guess that’s my fault for not looking around first, so if you have the time, I advise others to do the same!

Like it says in other reviews, it’s not a real slice of tree. It’s very light weight and has bark nailed to the sides. It does look effective and it definitely did the job for my cake - I would recommend putting a thin cake board between the cake and the wood for hygiene reasons. Every time you handle it however, tiny pieces of bark fall off so it won’t last for very long. I think the price should be a little lower for this reason.

Loved this did a woodland scene for my daughter in law babyshower this was perfect for it much nicer than normal cake board
