Buddha board *black* laptop/ easel
I had to wait a very long time to get my Buddha board since the laptop has not been avaliable each time I went to order it. I was looking very much forward to being able to use it for practicing my ensos for painting. When board arrived, it was scratched up all over front of case despite the fact that it came in a sleeve, and brush is falling apart with the very first use after only a few gentle strokes. :( I'd like to see board in better quality shape since it was listed as new and a better quality brush, which is a main component to go with board, not have to buy a new one as others have seemed to right out the door. Otherwise, board is cool. A little better quality control would remedy this issue. Not recommended for young children because both board and brush are fragile. Board directions say do not touch anything to the board except the brush so do not touch it with your fingers or any other object, and the reason with the brush being obvious since bristles fall out very easily with only adult use.

Interesting
Ok, I bought this to keep me from being bored, as I'm disabled and home all the time. I always wanted to be a famous artist (uh-huh) and thought this would be fun. I played with it for a couple of days and now it sits here. It's probably good for someone else but for some reason it just didn't thrill me. Oh, and it has a really lousy brush. The ends don't come to a point, but go in 2 separate directions, so I get a double line. Maybe I don't use it because it's frustrating. Being disabled, I haven't been easily able to get out to buy another brush for it... maybe someday I can do that and try it again. I'd recommend it for someone more dedicated than I am.

The board is awesome. I use it to practice my Chinese characters
Pros: The board is awesome. I use it to practice my Chinese characters. It takes some time to dry when you are writing vs drawing so one day i might get a second board.Cons: the case is super heavy and the brush is useless. So i just wrap my board in fabric and use one of those nice water fillable Pentel watercolor brushes.

Buddha Board Joy
I love the Buddha Board and use it for doing loose sketches each morning before I go in to my studio to start painting. The only down side to this is that the board came with a small scratch and the brush that came with the board came apart after one use!

We LOVE it!!
We bought this for our 6 year old son and he Loves it!!! In fact the whole family has been enjoying it; the 30-something parents, the teenage brothers and the 2 year old sister! We can all be creative without wasting paper! The little ones learn to be patient as they wait for the board to dry to start the next masterpiece. It even come with an example sheet of Chinese characters which are fun to learn and try to copy. My only beef with the toy is the brush it comes with, it does tend to shed. We recommend buying (or using) a different brush after a while.

Nephew, 2 (and a half) years old uses it almost daily
My sister sent me some pictures of the art work that my nephew has been creating using his laptop buddha board. They're great! He usually doesn't like to have his picture taken but for these photos, he looked very proud of his work. He's been using the board almost daily. I think it has so many benefits: no need to buy paper or paint, can teach a child patience, it can be engaging, a great way to reduce stress, an outlet for creativity, no cleanup, easy to travel with, and fun to use!

Fun for a while
Perhaps it's my inner child's lacking attention span, but I found the Buddha board to be a relatively boring addition to my room.More fun for the occasional guest who asks about it.

Interesting Concept
The Buddha Board is an interesting concept. It's neat at first, but the novelty wears off quickly. Draw something, then it disappears... draw something, then it disappears. It would probably be more fun for a child than an adult. It would actually be great for kids because it just uses water and won't make a mess.
