Banshee: The Complete Fourth Season (UV/DVD)Fourth and final season of Cinemax's gritty action series, as Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) returns to Banshee without his badge, but with a new motivation: to hunt for a vicious serial killer and track down a long-lost ally. Season 4 begins two years after Lucas and Carrie (Ivana Milicevic) orchestrated a multimillion-dollar heist that went bad leaving Carrie’s husband dead and Job (Hoon Lee) in the hands of a criminal gang. After a bender, during which he finds an unlikely savior in Rebecca (Lili Simmons), Lucas emerges from a self-imposed exile and goes back to Banshee to find it a drastically changed town that’s facing multiple threats on many levels.]]> Review: A great end to the show (prior season spoilers) - +++Warning, this contains spoilers from season three and a minor season four spoiler+++ The fourth season of Banshee had to do a lot. First, it had to resolve Job's kidnapping at the end of Season three, and the overall fallout of the botched heist. Carrie is reeling from Gordon's death and almost everything has changed after Lucas' resignation from the sheriff's department. The fourth season premiere jumps ahead almost two years to reveal that Lucas is living off the grid when Brock (who is now the Sheriff) finds Lucas and tells him of a murder that looks like the work of a serial killer. From there, the show becomes a murder mystery trying to locate the serial killer with another main storyline parallel to that one involving Proctor (who is now the Mayor) and the Nazis, including Kurt's brother Calvin, which basically pits the sheriff's department vs. the Nazis vs. Proctor. For those who get the Blu-Ray set, the A/V quality is again top-notch, as it has been with all of the releases. The extras include episode recaps, deleted scenes, and a couple of Zoomed-In featurettes, commentary tracks on a couple of episodes, and cast retrospectives. Overall, the season is very good despite having a lot packed into it. The murder mystery is quite good and plays out over the course of multiple episodes. The season continues to employ flashbacks, but this time flashing back just over the course of the 18 months between the end of season three and the beginning of season four. The season brings in a couple of new recurring cast members, first Eliza Dushku (from Buffy, Angel, and Dollhouse), and Fred Weller (from In Plain Sight). The show does a decent job of wrapping up the various storylines. It does keep a bit of mystery as we never do find out Lucas' real name, and the ending played out a bit differently than I thought it would but was still well done. There is, of course, a lot of violence and sex. Although, it was a bit lighter on the sex and nudity this season than in past seasons. Still, it is not remotely suitable for kids. If you liked the prior seasons then you will probably like this one as well. If however, the show never did anything for you before this season, this one is probably not going to convert you. But, if you are looking for a good crime show that has a good blend of action and drama, then this is definitely one to give a chance to. But, you definitely have to watch it from the beginning to really be able to follow the plot lines. Review: Great series - Worth buying worth watching. Has everything in it good and bad. Very provocative. Addictive.

I enjoyed this series while it was on the air and have been dying to own it. Now I do. It is a great show if you have not seen it. The characters, the action, the plot are all on point. It does slow just a tiny bit in the fourth season but, it makes up for it BIG TIME. Buy it, you won't regret it.

It is all in English except the cover art. Don’t be afraid to purchase.
It’s exactly as described Espanol cover art, but the discs still say what they are in English, title menus are also in English and all the audio is also English. This was a great value buy since they aren’t available anywhere else.

The last season of the show, we follow the crew some two years after the third season ended, with the murder of Rebecca and the search for her killer- then we tie up the other loose ends from last season- to finish out this excellent series. There is plenty for every fan and for those who just like the series. I will miss it. It must have been popular because the distributors ran out of Blu-ray discs so I had to get a regular DVD version. get your copy today!

Fulfills all those retributive desires in your soul
To put it bluntly, I was amazed! Note that I do have cable TV but that I do not subscribe to the titty channels, so that the relatively infrequent nudity and just-below X-rated sex was a delightful surprise, as were the frequent F-bombs that occurred exactly when expected (as they would in a more or less real-life situation, depending on your personal experiences). My partner was offended by the language (and the sex) so I had to watch this all alone but that didn't mean I enjoyed it any less. You can get the plot anywhere (Wiki is a good place to start) so I'll not go into that. What I will HIGHLY recommend is watching each season's BANSHEE ORIGINS set of clips so you can get a heads up on what you're about to see without having to figure it out piecemeal from the episodes themselves. Note that this is absolutely necessary at the beginning of season four, where a lapse of 18-months has occurred. The clips were scripted and shot separately from the episodes themselves, as explained by the producers on the commentary audio. I had originally thought that they were outtakes or sections that were cut for time purposes but that was not the case. THEY DO EXPLAIN A BUNCH OF STUFF! I can say that each season opens with a whole new set of problems and a bunch of characters whom the writers were not afraid of killing off just to torment the survivors and shock the audience. To save time and effort, this same review will be posted for seasons 2 through 4 (the last season of the series).

I highly recommend Banshee to fans of extreme uncensored action and fun
Never a weak episode in this series. I remember when I first discovered this, I watched the entire first season straight through. Sure wish this series had made it for a few more seasons. And season four did a flawless job of tying everything together and putting closure where it was needed. I highly recommend Banshee to fans of extreme uncensored action and fun!

Great action packed show.
I purchased the previous seasons of this great show already and was not disappointed with season four. My one gripe ? season four was the last of this original show of a former crook posing as a new sheriff in a small town who has his past catch up to him.

A seriously awesome series. I won't make any spoilers but this is an amazing show to watch. Not a show for kids since there is a lot adult content. But it has a great storyline and is highly addictive.

Was the fourth season of the series Banshee which personally thoroughly enjoyed although anyone adverse to violence would not enjoy it. Definitely not for the faint of heart at times with very graphic violence and sex scenes.

This is the final season and there are still mysterie to be resolved in Banshee. This collection presents a proper and honorable ending to a great series. Some time has elapsed from season 3 as this season starts. There are some upgrades and changes to established characters. There are still horrors and problems that plague the good people of Banshee. Crimes are committed and power struggles continue. Our small group has survived many setbacks and survived to tell the tale. Now they must stand up for one more final time. All in all a satisfying end to a great series.
