is it extracted with the co2 process?

I don't know the answer to that, BUT... I can tell you I tested it, and it failed the sunlight sensitivity test. Two weeks later and the deep dark 'brown' (not red) stain is still unchanged. I should have returned it. (search, 3 EASY WAYS TO IDENTIFY FAKE ASTAXANTHIN SUPPLEMENT). Is it fake? I can't say with 100% certainty, but I know I'm not ingesting it.

Is it in an oil base ? If so which oil?

The other ingredients lists: kosher gelatin, kosher vegetable glycerin, purified water, natural carob (softgel)

shellfish? which shellfish? any crustacea?

Under allergy alert the label says, "May contain shellfish products." But the label does not specify what type it MT contain.
