Will this fit a 9" wrist?

That might be pushing the boundaries of the bracelet size. Also, a the 37mm size will look relatively small on a 9" wrist. However, if you prefer a more "vintage" size, this would be a great choice.

will this fit an 8.8 inch wrist out of the box?

Maybe, that's a big wrist! You could always try and return it if you don't take any of the wrapping off the watch/bracelet.

Can this be changed to nh36?

No, the NH36 is configured for larger watches, that have their crown at 3 o clock. The Snkl23 is configured with the recessed crown at 4pm
