Lighthearted and joyful!
What an unexpectedly joyful book!! Never realized how much I would love filling the lists to the prompts. Became more aware of things to do, just from the happy inspiration of suggested listing.

Great for list writers
I adore this book. First, it is beautiful and so well made. There is rose gold lettering on the cover and the spine is also metallic rose gold. There is a maroon velvet ribbon sewn in to hold your page. There are a handful of beautiful color photographs throughout the book. Most pages also have adorable color illustrations of makeup, bubble baths, records, etc. Just writing in this journal feels like a luxurious experience. I even bought a special pen to use with it.I really enjoy the writing prompts. I am a list maker and I like to journal, but I often find myself stuck on what to write. These prompts are great. They make you reflect on things that make you happy, roadblocks to happiness, things you are grateful for, strengths you possess, the best compliments you have been given, etc. It is so nice to write these things down when I am feeling good and have them to look at when I am feeling sad and having a difficult time remembering all of the good things in my life. That is what I am most grateful for in this book. I, like many others, battle with anxiety and seasonal depression (thanks winter). This book is a way for me to get away from my obsessive thoughts and to focus my energy and concentration into something that makes me feel better. I think anything that makes your feel better when you are otherwise feeling out of control is a great tool to have.

I love it so much I bought 2 for friends
The media could not be loaded. I love this journal so much; I bought it years ago. I loved it so much that this year I bought two for close friends. There's so many good suggestions, journal prompts and manifesting pages. Great gift or personal item!

Nice hardback book
I like that it feels like it will hold up to life for 52 weeks. It has a nice built in bookmark. Some of the pictures on the list pages seem a bit like cartoons but that is something small. The lists seem simple and I guess I won't know if it is effective until at least week 8 but seems like a good starting point for journaling. My favorite part so far is the action points because it doesn't seem so passive.

Mindfulness for Beginners
Full disclosure: my therapist recommended this listing journal to me as she found it remarkably constructive when she got it for herself. So if a therapist thinks it's a legitimate mindfulness exercise, then you know it must be good. It's a beautiful little book, and bound, which I hadn't expected. I'm sure there must be a ringed version out there somewhere for those who prefer it, but I was pleasantly surprised when this one came in hardback (I'm a stickler for hardbound journals, what can I say?)It's laid out beautifully, with action steps for each list you do. It's a great exercise for anyone trying to practice gratitude and mindfulness, or for someone just looking to have fun with lists around self-discovery. Well worth the purchase. I suggest getting it at the start of the calendar year if possible, but the journal isn't based around time of year anyway. It's just a preference on my part. I'm weird.Long and short of it: a good, reasonable investment towards your own happiness.

I’m so glad I bought this!
I have always wanted to be someone who journaled, but I’m terrible at knowing what to say. This is awesome because it’s motivational and it focuses on YOUR happiness. I feel like it is something that I have just for me and it has inspired me to make time for myself. I make notes in the margin everyday listing one cool/memorable thing I did that was relevant to the list for that week.If you care about appearance details, this book is hardback with a really cute floral design to it. The pages are pretty with different decals on each page. The book also has a velvet maroon page marker, which is really handy. The book is beautiful! Also, you can use hashtags on social media to keep up with other people who are taking this journey with you! I thought that was really clever.Overall, I am extremely impressed with this book and I will probably buy more from the author’s 52 list series.

Great Book for beginning journaling
My father is going through a divorce. (2nd wife, not my mom) At 67 years old he has found himself at a place he never thought he would be (BESIDES living with his adult daughter!) He's not a "tough guy" or one who avoids feelings. His therapist suggested that he might benefit from journaling but he has found it difficult to get started especially when staring down a blank piece of paper.I saw this book and wondered if this might be a good way to get him started. Well he LOVES IT! Yes, it's a bit "floral" but it's a fantastic book for anyone of any age or gender. The topics are fantastic and at 67, my father is journaling away happily and making great progress with his emotions and the process of his divorce.(This isn't specifically for people going through divorce, it's just his specific situation)I would recommend this book to anyone who wanted to begin the process of writing, journaling or even just trying to get to know themselves. I have to buy one for myself too!
