Holds my umbrella steady and pulls out easy.
Haven't used it in the sand yet, but it works really well at the soccer field. There are times where the ground is a bit hard and I have to enlist the help of a bigger person (I'm 135lbs). But it usually works with a little bit of pushing. Holds my umbrella steady and pulls out easy.

I do not have the power to easily break such things
Amazons packaging and delivery was superb as always. But this beach umb anchor I received today broke immediately upon use. I put the umbrella in the anchor and screwed it to tighten, and the nut that was welded to the anchor broke off. I'm a 57 yr old female... I do not have the power to easily break such things. I'm very disappointed.

Set it and forget it - booya
compared to the rinky-dink plastic screw in types of beach umbrella anchors, this thing beats the pants off them. Sure, you carry around a big metal stake, but it's super fast. A true set-it-and-forget-it solution.

Wow this anchor is so very sturdy! It is super easy to use and install in the ground. We don't have a near by beach but I used it for the umbrella to cover the kiddie pool and protect the babies from sun. It was fantastic. I am suprised I didn't think of this earlier. It was super easy to stake it in grass and it did no damage. We also used it for my 10 yo daughters party in the backyard. I set it up behind the food table and all the food was shaded under umbrella. This think is reliable and brillant, so many uses. Highly recommend!

A pro umbrella holder works in grass too.
Just got to use the umbrella anchor for a new umbrella for painting outside and even in the grass it was easy to push far enough into the ground to hold the umbrella up in the wind. The adjustment screw held the pole securely.
