The kids…and the adults too, have an absolute blast with this poolside basketball hoop! It’s been such a fun addition to the pool — every time they are in the pool they play with it almost nonstop. The base fills with water, which makes it super sturdy and keeps it from tipping, even with some rough play. But when not filled with water it’s pretty light weight and easy to move around. Also it’s super easy to set up, and it’s keeps everyone entertained all summer long. That said, after a while I noticed the blue behind the plexiglass backboard starting to peel and the plexiglass started to pull away from the white plastic as well as rust forming on the rim. I reached out to the company, and after going back and forth a few times, they agreed to send me a replacement backboard and rim. I really appreciate that they are going to stand behind their product and make it right. They also mentioned that as of summer 2024, they’ve improved the rim so it better withstands pool chemicals, UV exposure, and should last much longer — which is great to hear. The price is a little on the higher side, but it’s a really good-looking hoop that fits perfectly beside the pool and adds a nice touch to the backyard. Overall, despite those issues I’m happy with the purchase and appreciate the company’s willingness to stand behind their product.

This pool basketball hoop broke completely backboard snapped right off the base after just a few months of normal kid use. No heavy dunks, just regular play in Florida sun. Filled the base properly, followed instructions, but the connection was weak plastic junk. Now it’s unusable and worthless. Total waste of money. Don’t buy. 0/10.

Out of the box, I was surprised to find a ratcheted box end wrench for assembly. This made the process a one person asssembly. Instructions were simple and easy to follow. The base is sibstantial and holds enough water to prevent the goal from moving. The backboard is large and so far, very sturdy. The rim is powder coated and shows no sign of delamamination or rust reported by some other buyers. The unit comes with two full sized balls, (which will need to be inflated) a hand pump with a flexible hose and two needles. It is very sturdy and has a generous height adjustment. While it is sturdy, I would not recommend allowing energetic guests to hang off the goal after dunking. Injuries could occur and you may have to fish the goal out of your pool. We have used this goal everyday for a month with no failures, so no customer service issues/calls to report. We would recommend this unit highly.

I purchased this basketball hoop for my daughters. It’s very well built and very easy to put together. I did have a few issues. The backboard markings started to separate from the backboard and the rim started to rust. I contacted the company via their website. The next morning I received an email from a customer service representative. He stated that they had some issues with the backboards and rims for this product and offered to send out replacements. I have to say that this was one of the best customer service experiences that I have ever had.

We have used this hoop for 3 summers now and it's still going strong. We do have a strict "no dunking/hanging on the rim" rule and that has helped with the longevity I'm sure. At the end of the first season, the rope net at the bottom did break, but we re-tied the broken part and are making due with it. This last season, it has started to lose the hold of position, presumably due to the heat of the sun & use. We'll keep using it though until it bites the dust. My son & his friends have gotten hours and hours of play time from it so it was a very good investment.

Updated review. Lowered to 2 stars. 1. During year one the height adjustment became nearly impossible. Frozen in place. 2. During year two the backboard laminate separated from the board. I used superglue and clear 3M tape to reapply. But it doesn't look the best but still functional. Also, one if the basketballs that came with the hoop has a slow leak. Had to replace. 3. At the opening of our 3rd season, noticed that the hoop is all rusted. Very disappointed as I spent more money than I wanted on this hoop but was hoping since (living in the Midwest US) we only use the hoop outside by the pool for 3 months per year. Other than that it is stored indoors. I have to purchase a new hoop and I will NOT buy from this mfg again. ----------------- Original Review. It was a little pricier than we wanted to spend but it certainly is a quality hoop. Assembly required two adults but was very straight-forward and the quality of tools they provided were very impressive. Definitely bring your water hose to the exact spot where you want the hoop as the hoop gets very heavy once the base is filled. We've only had in the elements for a week and so far it looks very nice. Hopefully that will continue throughout the season. The hoop came with two 9 in basketballs, net, airpump and needle so everything is supplied. Locating the base of the hoop 8 inches back from the pool edge (as instructed) is great as made shots literally bounce off the pool edge and rebound straight out! We're going to have many hours of fun with this hoop this Summer.

I chose this, spent the extra, hoping it would stand up to a 13 year old boy and all his friends abusing it, and it was worth the extra! This thing is very heavy duty and made to take a beating - they dunk on it, and have so much fun! Added benefit has been that it has also gotten my husband, my father, and others more engaged in what's happening in the pool - they all challenge each other to games of HORSE/PIG, 1 on 1 games, and other silly games where one person shoots and if they make it everyone else has to shoot the same way (backwards, side arms, and whatever other silly things they can come up with!) and make it to move on to the next round. Definitely money well spent! Update July 2023 (after 1 year of use - not even really because it was in the shed all winter): Dropping to a 2 rating. After just over a year, the hoop itself is so rusted, it is dropping huge chunks of rusted off paint into my pool - which has a liner, so is a concern not only to our barefoot guests in and around the pool, but also a risk to our liner. This was stored indoors over the winter months, so in actuality it's only been about 8 months of actual use and exposure to the elements. I would not recommend this for use by a pool! This product is made and marketed to be poolside, the hoop should be made to withstand more than 8 months of use. Update August 2024: when I contacted their customer service in 2023, they immediately acknowledged a known issue with a certain batch of these hoops that made them rust and sent us a replacememt rim/net/bolts at no charge to us. They were very friendly and sent the parts very quickly! It was super easy to swap the pieces out and the new rim has not begun rusting at all yet - 1 year in. We had a pretty rough bunch of 15 year olds here a few weeks ago and one attempted to kill a horse fly on the backboard by slamming the ball into it as hard as he could, and it broke a chunk of the plexiglass off. It was very easy to find the replacement part here on Amazon, reasonably priced at $75 for the new backboard. It was very easy to swap out as well. Overall, the whole thing has been very sturdy and a great addition to our pool, once we got the rust issue resolved.

The backboard plastic was put together terrible and everyone who reviews it says that. The backboard came right off and the plastic started shedding and getting in our pool after the first season. However, the basketball court is great. The reason it gets one star is because the company knows this is an issue and does not have replacement pieces. You have to buy it all over again.
