I bought this head unit as a replacement for my standard AUDI RNE navigation audio system after some research on the internet and I knew that given Android systems are highly customisable I will have to spend a bit more time setting it up for my needs and expectations - selecting what apps I like, etc.Technically connecting this head unit was very simple - it is designed to fit the dimensions and connectors of my Audi A3 perfectly. In the process, I contacted the seller's customer service and received much-needed guidance and support.All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. What I like the most:1) extensibility - you can add options for tyre pressure, apple car play, reverse camera, dab radio that are not available as standard for my car2) sound quality - I have BOSE speakers, but even with them my sound was not the same as with xtrons - a superior experience3) confirmability - you can change the look&feel with new android launchers, you can add your own apps as you like

Unfortunately all of this is let down by the complete lack of after sales support from Xtrons.I have 3 simple technical questions which they simply can not answer. I don't know if it is a language barrier or if their support is just that poor... Either way, don't expect any technical support / questions to be answered and you will be very happy with the unit

The media could not be loaded. Okay so at first this stereo was really daunting as I don’t use android anything only Apple so I didn't have a clue what I was doing. But after sitting for a while and getting used to it it’s actually a good stereo. I mainly use it for CarPlay so when I get in it does take a minute or so but it connects all up to CarPlay I don’t have to do anything so that makes me really happy.It’s got a lovely huge screen, the screen can dim and brighten automatically depending on out in day or night time which is a very handy feature, or go black if you prefer no screen. The sound is amazing! It took me a while to suss it out but with the Bose speakers it’s now wow! I play the volume on no9 and it is so loud. I’m really happy with it, I just have to connect my reverse camera in in two weeks time.Some spelling on the settings spelt incorrectly 🤦🏻‍♀️ No idea about that but it’s good for the price. I just hope it lasts.I bought this over any other, as I wanted a proper good make but this had the Bose connected wire so got this one. It does have a low buzzing sound but can’t hear it when music is loud. But other than that I’m happy.

The media could not be loaded. Top Quality product, very well made and it is plug and play. You need to be sure about wiring but they have provided all the diagrams do it was easy for me. My AUDI A3 have a bose Quad system and this is 100% compatible. I've used Android Auto and Apple Car play and both worked without any issue. Sound quality is super and crisp with lots of options like surround sound (work on quad system), multi channel equaliser, true bass, delay etc. I love its day and night option, its auto adaptability as per day light (my car have day light sensor to automatically turn on headlights when dark) and the option to adjust backlight at night which it remembers. The steering controls were spot on, no need to update or steering learning like some other system on market. I only manage to go to 50% of volume as it has powerful amplifier. The installation is super easy and it feels like factory fitted once installed. I 100% recommend this product, customer service is great. I've been intouch with supplier for few things and they are helping me out and respond.

Fits great, loads of options and expansion offerings from the manufacturer. Software is well done and completed so little subtleties make all the difference. The hardware is effective resulting for a smooth experience and short load times. Button lights change colour, there are 3 themes in the box but they are pretty limited in how much the theme really changes. Great unit

For the money (£198), the Xtrons head unit, for the Audi A3 8P, is excellent value compared to similar premium brand equivalents (£500+). It has been a major upgrade to my 10 year old car with bluetooth phone and music streaming and DAB radio. It is easy to install and all the cabling required is provided, with leads well labelled. The other Xtrons accessories work well with it (DAB antenna and reversing camera/sensors). The only comment is about how long it takes to boot up (around 60-90 secs) initially. The sound quality is good but sound to rear speakers is muted for some reason. Overall a very good piece of equipment.
