Vinara Wine Bottle Foil Remover Sharp 4 Wheel Wine Foil Cutter Opender with Magnets, (Black)

We've been drinking wine for years, and are constantly using foil cutters to open the bottles. I'm always replacing them with locally bought items which turn out to be junk. Some of them are so "cheap" they only have two instead of four wheels for cutting - can you believe it? At other times the cutter will twist in your hand, or the wheels will fall off. One time the cutter broke in half. I found this product on Amazon. Although a little pricey, it works like a charm. The cutter is sturdy and won't twist in your hand. It has FOUR cutting wheels, which are very sharp. The foil will cut completely with as little as a half-turn. I love this cutter and highly recommend it.

Works fine but wears out. Tried to use this in a restaurant for wine service, it lasted less than 3 weeks before falling apart. Might last up to a year with home use which is probably worth the money. Will be going back to screwpull.

Looking for a product that would remove the foil from wine bottles easily and efficiently. Bought the Vinara Foil Remover based on reviews. Its easy to use and does a fine job at removing the foil from a wine bottle. You just put the four metal wheels over the top of the bottle and spin around and the foil is perfectly cut. Cant make it any easier than that. Its a simple design and hopefully will last for many years to come. This review will be updated if necessary.

Worked perfectly the first number of times but after, oh, a couple of months or so, we've had to increasingly squeeze tighter and turn it more due to dulling blade. Would just like to get a good year out of one of these, and since this is only my second one ever, I don't have a lot of experience in whether or not that's realistic even.

The product worked wonderfully until it came apart. If you look at the four little discs you'll notice that they just go into the platic part, but there is nothing to really keep them in place. I had one simply start sliding out every time I'd use it, and then suddenly wouldn't stay in. The device with only three discs simply does work. The idea is great, but it could use some finetuning.

I used to have a foil cutter that came with the ScrewPull set, but I don't know what happened to it. I either lost it or it eventually became dull and threw it out (no blame on that brand, I open a lot of bottles of wine). But, this is an excellent replacement at an awesome deal of a price. Highly recommended!!!

When product arrived, we thought, very basic...but maybe it will last. Well, it is now no longer working. Lost one of the four cutting edges tonight. Looking back it never really work well. Have gotten "free" products that lasted longer. Think I am going back to the cork screw edge and putting the money saved from not buying another dedicated foil cutter towards wine!Update: 05/12/14Company e-mailed me and offered (I accepted) to replace cutter with updated model. Will update again when "New" replacement arrives. Hopefully the update improves quality!

After six months of usage, the wheels literally fell off. The problem is that the wheels are held by a rivet that is (loosely) pressed into the plastic. The cutting is excellent. But if the topmost portion of the winemaker's foil capsule is held on by glue, any attempt to pull off the foil off the bottle will ultimately loosen a cutting wheel.So I'm ordering two or three and treating it like shaving equipment that doesn't last too long. The price is right, and free shipping by Prime. I fear that the higher-priced units have the same limitations, and would love for someone to reply via comment if they have found (& Tested!)something better.
