I was disappointed when this was small, but I probably should have looked at the size first.
If you want a cassette player transformer, this is your only option that isn’t $100. I was looking for a Soundwave that transformed into a cassette player, as I only have siege, but I got this. Really should have looked at the size. Earthrise is just too expensive, and there’s no Kingdom release. So this was my best option, despite it being small. Still a great size to fool around with, but you might want to take the weapons away for a few years if you plan on giving this to a toddler.

Oh the memories
I the package came opened and taped shut. Nothing missing, must be because this is an older toy that looks like it’s been sitting around for a while. Definitely not a grade 10 package. This is a very small toy. About the size of the other original model smallest transformer. The original Bumblebee bug comes to mind. The cassette does not transform. However, at this low price, you’re paying for nostalgia. I love it! Had the original as a child. Oh the memories!

Fun toy, great gift, nice details. Retro style to original is nostalgic.
Fun toy, great gift, nice details. Mini looks much like the retro original. If the take robot transformed would've given 5 stars.

If you collect legends class, this it he definitive soundwave
If you want to collect transformers, but either a) hate the rising cost of plastic, or b) don't have a lot space for display, then this is a great figure to start you off or add to your collection. POINTS OF REVIEW: AESTHETIC: This little guy is show accurate and definitely hits all the right notes with color and design. He includes his gun and little missile launcher (both removable and adjustable), adding to his play value. He even comes with a tiny cassette (which sadly doesn't transform) that is highly detailed, and can be stored in Soundwave chest! Wow! This Soundwave turns into his classic cassette player form, but he loses a point here for not exactly being a good looking cassette player :(. Its a bit weird looking. ARTICULATION: Transformers fans love articulation, and at this size, this one has got it. I think at least 13 points, which is more than the original had. Highly Posable and cool! PRICE: Its well known that in 2021, Hasbro raised the prices on all its products, but if you can get this at its MSRP of under 14 bucks, you're getting a steal. 10/10 (just don't let your 5 year old play with your only copy, the pieces are easily losable, and the figure won't withstand heavy play)

compact powerhouse of nostalgia
The Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Kingdom Core Class Soundwave is a compact powerhouse of nostalgia and playability. Standing as a smaller version of the iconic Decepticon communications officer, this figure delivers big on detail and fun. The transformation is intuitive, and Soundwave's classic cassette player mode is a delightful throwback. The articulation is impressive for its size, allowing for dynamic poses and battles. Additionally, Soundwave can interact with other figures through the modular Weaponizer system, adding versatility to your collection. Whether you're a fan of G1 or the newer series, this Core Class Soundwave is a must-have addition to your Transformers lineup.

Small but nicr
The bad: foolish me didn't read the size before I ordered this and as you can see in the picture it is quite small next to a standard soundwave. You can find this at most wal mart or targets for $9.99. Also to note is that the legs are a bit loose but oddly the arms are not. The good: for a small figure it actually does look really good. The tape deck works and has a tiny tape ( doesn't transform) the shoulder cannon and blaster stay in really well

Very cool
I mean it’s a little pricey for such a small figure, but i got it for my boyfriend he seemed very happy with it, maybe because of me but probably because it’s cool. Very nimble, my grimlock one is stiff so this one being easier to move was cool.
