Very easy to program.
While some programmable remotes are more functional this is perfect if you want a cheap but high quality replacement remote. The backlight is a big bonus on something that's so well priced. Just be aware that these are for a U.S. so devices like Humax TV recorders might not have codes (or might as I've not checked)

The last universal remote I used before this one was from about 10-15 years ago but this one is the first that has worked 100% perfectly! ++ 2 Double A batteries: VERY convenient. ++ The first code worked for each of my equipment pieces. ++ Can make the volume & mute button always be controlled by one of the 4 programmable pieces no matter which device you are controlling. The first code worked with my TCL 6 series roku tv. All the buttons work exactly the same as they do on the roku remote. I have a pioneer AV sound system (vsx-830) The first code worked for that. This remote also controls my Xbox one X which I use as my blu ray player. You are able to program the remote so that no matter which device you have selected to control, when you want to change the volume it will automatically use the audio device. I can be controlling the roku TV and easily mute commercials or change the volume without having to press the AUD button to change to that device. It's the perfect remote that actually made all my devices be controlled with just one remote. 5 stars.

We have a Hisense TV and its remote needs serious button push in order to work. So I pulled up my old Harmony, programmed and while working ok, it had a button delay and in a fast sequence of button press it was going awry. Now with this GE remote, I looked at the Hisense codes and because there were so many to try I went with its 'auto find code setup' and the first one found worked perfect! Now, with a slight push of the button, the desired command is there right away, and that's most important for us! It is also working with our audio system (Volume up and Volume down) right of the bat, I didn't do anything, it was like magic (for the record, I am past that age when magic was a dream!) Right, I forgot, backlit: a nice welcome feature. Pros: simple setup, efficient, multi device, backlit. Cons: no RF devices aka Roku (keep that in mind, but I knew that when I paid so few $$)
