Works great
I see a lot of negative reviews, mine is great and I have nothing negative to say. I have it for a year now and zero issues. The variable speed is awesome too. I used this thing often and I love it

NOT FOR COMMERCIAL GRADE USE "Soft"
It's not the cats meow! I bought this based on value. Then watched a few YOUTUBE videos about balancing a bench grinder. Seems that is tough to do unless you have other large laths and time. Knowing this now I am a bit disappointed after spooling my new machine up. During it's spin up it vibrated so much it moved 2" on the floor stand and the entire machine shimmied. Once it got to mid throttle it seemed smoother but still vibrate a bit. The paint is crap on the light and the shields. It came out of the box with a scratched top of the light housing. Then I was installing the tool rest tables and as I was removing the screws that were in the wheel housings on of the flat washers stuck to the side. I moved it up from it's position with my fingers and scratched the side of the shield. The paint is very thin. I have not ground anything at this time. I just assembled it and the directions suck. I am mechanically minded so I figured it out, except for the large 1" black washer that comes with it. I have no Idea where it goes and it's not depicted in the so called instruction manual. The motor sounds powerful. The Stand has the same instruction dilemmas. There's a hole in the top of the pipe and the instructions say it's in the middle for the tray! NOT THERE. The *" Grinder has rubber feet and they squash when you tighten them in the stand. Should probably remove the. I'm good with this purchase because the value is there for the price, and I don't do much work with it.

Woks great and love the variable speed
I like it a lot. The variable speed is great. It takes a while to spin up but most larger grinders do.

What a hunk of junk
Well… another lesson in “You get what you pay for” school. I had previously bought a bench top drill press from Wen and it was fine enough with no major complaints, so I thought I’d try the bench grinder from them as well. But jeez, what a POS this thing is. Three main problems with this. First, the castings for the tool rests are so badly finished that you can’t properly lock them down. It looks like the holes drilled through them for the lock down bolts were crooked, so this doesn’t allow the cheap plastic hand knobs to seat properly and give you a good lock. This is UNSAFE. Second, the motor on this tool is so out of balance that it causes pretty severe vibration. Is it walking across the bench? Not quite. But pretty darn close! The vibration leads us to the third main issue: the integrated work light. Since the grinder is shaking so much, it causes the work light to rotate at the base of its gooseneck leading it to fall over onto the grinding wheel! I’d say that this qualifies as DANGEROUS. What a disappointment this tool is. Luckily, the return process is easy. So, back in the box it goes and back to the Amazon warehouse. Looking through the reviews, it seems like a lot of people got good machines. Maybe I just got a lemon. But it seems to me that it should be relatively easy in 2021 to manufacture such a rudimentary tool like a bench grinder to an acceptable degree of quality. Not for Wen apparently! This experience has me seriously looking at shelling out the extra money for a Baldor. Made in the USA and of a quality that should last a lifetime. Adios, Wen!

This is a great garage grinder- you won't be sorry.
I've only had it for 3 months, but it's already been worth the purchase. It's quiet & smooth- not near as much vibration as the one it replaced. The speed adjustment is handy & it's a great addition to my garage tools.

Very Good with some mods.
Decent grinder in the price range but had some vibration issues which was really annoying. I worked that out by buying some machined collars off of eBay and by replacing the cheap wheels it comes with. Made a huge difference. To get it perfect you will also have to balance the wheels all stone type grinding wheels are imbalanced. I had to spend another 75.00 to get this grinder where I wanted it to be between the collars and new grinding wheels. Still way cheaper than a jet which would have been my next option.
