Comfortable and sturdy but not exactly waterproof.
I completed a 24mile hike from néw with no problems comfort wise.However got damp socks walking through wet grass. Guess it is ingress through the top textile part/tongue of the shoe.As I say, comfortable and they also look good and being leather means they cleans up easily.

Sehr bequeme, robuste Wanderschuhe
Wie immer bei Keen kann man die Schuhe einfach das erste Mal anziehen und sofort loswanderen, so bequem sind sie. Durch die Metallösen ist die Verschnürung besonders stabil angebracht, auch die Schnürsenkel sind super - sie lösten sich bei mehrstündigen Wanderungen kein einziges Mal.Die Sohlen sind ausgesprochen rutschfest, so dass man auch steinige oder feuchte Strecken gut laufen kann.Das Leder lässt sich leicht mit Lederfett pflegen, so werden die Schuhe gleich auch auf umweltfreundliche Art imprägniert.

Great Shoe
Once again Keen comes through. Very comfortable shoe right out of the box. Deep earth color is very nice with the deep red pepper laces. I have 3 pair of Keen’s and will continue to purchase.
