Q: does this smell like the shaving cream ?

No it doesn't. It has a musk type scent to it. Its the only aftershave my wife likes on my face.

Q: Does this smell like Old Spice?

Nope...not even close. It is oil based,old school man smell from the barber shop days. I don't think you'll be disappointed. And the shaving soap smells good too.

Q: I have read the reviews and I’m confused does the last a few hours or a couple of minutes?

It’s like a weak cologne. Strong for the first few minutes, but not much after an hour

Q: How does this compare to the balm?

The balm is a cream and this is alcohol based. I remmcend balm for dryer skin and this if you are on the oily side.
