I had bought a different brand "airtight" container originally, but I noticed two problems with that company's container: 1) it was not airtight -- I could press down on the top and hear the air being forced out -- so, obviously not airtight; and 2) I have a cat that is too smart for his own good, and figured out how to open it --- and not just a little bit, completely open it. Which defeated the purpose for getting a container to hold the cats' food --- if the cat can open it, it definitely ruins any possibly of keeping the food fresh and preventing my cats from getting into the food bag.Thanks to a reviewer for the "other" container, they recommended this container. WOW!! Absolutely the BEST! Not only do I feel it's truly airtight (I pressed down on the top -- and NO signs of air being forced out --- but it also has blocked my burglar cat from opening it!Bonus features that I <3 LOVE <3 : it not only has a scoop, but it has a groove in the lid for the scoop to be stored so filling up their bowls will be even easier. The dual lid openings are nice, too. Open the smaller one for scooping out food, but the container opens on the other side to have the entire lid open when I need to put in a new bag. And the clasps make opening either end a breeze.My only complaint: like some other reviewers said, putting the wheels on is a bit of a struggle, BUT, I do admit, since they are quite hard to get in, I feel confident that they won't likely come off on their own. But, for the price, it would be nice if they were already attached.For others, the pictures show a 22 lb. bag of cat food, which maybe has about 2-3 cups food taken out. (I prefer to keep the food in the bag to keep the container clean. As you can see, the bag fits comfortably inside the container, with room to spare.

This product says it holds a 50 pound bag of dog food that is inaccurate either in the bag or out of the bag it does not hold 50 pounds maybe 40 but indefinitely not 50

The construction seems excellent and I feel like I would love this thing- but it's missing the handle on the larger side of the lid (the side that allows the whole lid to swing open) so it can't seal.When I reported it, they gave me a full refund instead of just sending me a handle like I asked- it seems super wasteful. Am I to just throw this one away? I can't do that.I'll update this review once I get all of the parts in an acceptable manner.

Seems best container available. Took brute force to install wheels. Think they should come installed.

Entire bag fits in container

Heavy duty durable plastic. Lid hinges from both ends for easy daily access on one side and larger opening on other end for easily placing food bag inside. I put the bag and food in this container and the bags fit well. Placing rhe bag inside instead of pouring food into the container helps keeps things clean. I have four!

This is our second one, we’ll likely buy a third for the cat food. I LOVE these storage containers, they slide under our kitchen island perfectly and are so much easier to get the dog food out of at their meal times.I’m weird and don’t like the greasy feel of the inside of pet food bags touching my hands, not a problem using these and they come with a scoop that looks tiny but it measures 1 cup so it’s not that small. The small opening on the lid would allow for using q larger scoop or just using a regular size bowl to scoop out food if you wanted to instead of using the scoop.

Container seems to seal well, and it holds a large bag of food. You must, however, install the wheels yourself and that is VERY difficult, even for someone adept with tools, etc. My guess is that some accountant figured they could save 3 cents per unit if they made the customer install the wheels -- bad decision. I would suggest coating the axle slots with Vaseline or some other lubricant, before trying to install them. Unfortunately this also will gum up the wheel rotation a bit, but you may not be able to install the wheels at all if you don't use some kind of lubricant in the slots.

It Only comes with 2 wheels. I thought it was 4. It is not returnable. I'm not entirely sure this product is completely sealed when closed to keep the dog food fresh. You hear the handle snap close, but I'm not sure the whole 4 sides are "air sealed". It does keep the huge bag of dog food off the floor and that corner looks more tidy now, but I wish it was on 4 wheels and seal even tighter.
