I’ve been using the De’Longhi EcoDecalk Descaler for over a year now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the most essential maintenance products for any espresso or coffee machine owner. I had used Keurig Descaling Solution since I bought my latest machine. Faithfully. Not necessarily from this seller or even site, but the same product, and it's expensive. A long-time Keurig (indeed, Cuisinart before that) owner, I am familiar with the signs that a descaling is necessary, and my current machine will even tell me when I forget. Tiring of the expense and noting the ingredient list for a knock-off product that listed it, I perused Amazon for citric acid, the non-toxic base ingredient Keurig uses. I found it in many forms: powder, liquid, even tablets. The price varied extensively, but when I saw this product from such a respected name and at a great price per use and in my beloved Subscribe and Save program, I knew I had to give it a shot. It works like a charm. I'd say, better than the OEM Keurig solution and for half the cost per use. There are four applications in this bottle, while you use the whole bottle of the Keurig brand. While it's simpler to pour the entire bottle in the tank, it's much more spendy. The De'Longhi does have one issue: the instructions can be difficult to locate in English or whichever language is your primary. You'll need to lift the sticky tape that many manufacturers of bottle products are now using and page through all the paper to find your language, but the directions are likely there for you, and they are definitely included in English - after all the safety warnings. Keep looking! There are handy markings on the side of the bottle, as well, so just pour out the amount to the next mark into the tank and you're ready to continue. I have found that the machine actually responds better and needs descaling less often with this product than when I used the OEM Keurig solution, and I run a LOT of KCups. I use the brewer often, for coffee, tea, chai, whatever. I even use it to start hot water for cooking at times. My husband uses it, too, though just for coffee. So, it will need more descaling than average, I expect, and this product is the one I'll be using until I find something better. Right now, I see no reason to go looking for one, since it's a great product at a nice price. With Subscribe and Save, I get an even better price, too! I do recommend you give it a try in your machine. It's wonderful.

This bottle lasts me a while, through 3-4 decalcifying sessions. I find the price reasonable here and the item came wrapped in plastic for safety. However, this time the box and plastic did have a small puncture in it, but it didn't affect the bottle of solution inside, so it's fine.

Machine started to act up within 1.5 months of daily use. Thought the machine was the problem and don’t think it could even be clogged with scaling issues. Tried different beans, grind settings, and sizes to no avail for 1 week. Then the machine notifies me to perform a descaling. lol. Luckily I had ordered this for future use about 2 weeks after the new machine. It solved the problem instantly (well 30 minutes after the process of the descaling was completed). I’m critical of lots of items and companies that circumvent quality to consumers. This product was absolutely worth the time and effort. Don’t think twice and simply buy this for when it happens you can resolve it.

Used it to descale my delonghi magnifico eva coffee machine. Did a pretty decent job, can use it for the next few cleaning cycles as well. Good price as well.

Works well

I have the Breville espresso barista express and this solution seems to work pretty well for running the descaler mode. So far no complains, seems to do the work every time, leaving no smell or residues behind when following the instructions.

We own a De'longhi La Specialista Arte Evo Espresso machine and ordered this EcoDecalk Descaling solution. Product was undamaged and effectively removed limescale. The descaling solution was very easy to use. I followed a youtube video posted by De'Longhi for my specific machine, and the whole process, including cleaning, took about 30 to 40 minutes. Most of it was the machine doing all the work running the descaling solution through the machine. After descaling the machine, I noticed that water seemed to flow more freely from the portafilter and steam wand. I also did not notice any chemically taste to my coffee. It tasted normal, if not better than it did before descaling my machine. Product arrived in tact. It was delievered in a cardboard box which protected the packaging. The bottle of descaling liquid in the box was properly sealed and was not leaking.
